The present work is a revision of the processes occurring in osseointegration of titanium dental implants according to different types of surfaces -namely, polished surfaces, rough surfaces obtained from subtraction methods, as well as the new hydroxyapatite biomimetic surfaces obtained from thermochemical processes. Hydroxyapatite’s high plasma-projection temperatures have proven to prevent the formation of crystalline apatite on the titanium dental implant, but lead to the formation of amorphous calcium phosphate (i.e., with no crystal structure) instead. Structure and dynamics in amorphous tellurium and Te-n clusters: A density functional study

Density functional/molecular dynamics simulations have been performed on amorphous tellurium (a meltquenched sample of 343 atoms at 300 K) and on Te clusters with up to 16 atoms. The former extend our calculations on liquid Te at 560, 625, 722, and 970 K [Phys. Rev. B 81, 094202 (2010)]. We discuss trends in structures (including those of other group-16 elements), electronic densities of states, and vibration frequencies. Chain structures are common in S and Se, but the chains in amorphous Te are short, and branching sites with threefold-coordinated atoms are common. Tutkielman aiheena on Elias Lönnrotin kokoaman Uuden Kalevalan (1849) Aino ja hänen läpikäymänsä metamorfoosit ranskalaisfilosofi Luce Irigarayn ihmettelyn teorian pohjalta. Työssä tarkastellaan, miten ihmettely tai sen puute ilmenee Aino-runoelman henkilöiden, Ainon, Joukahaisen, heidän äitinsä ja Väinämöisen välillä. Irigaray liittää René Descartesilta lainaamansa ihmettelyn käsitteen erityisesti miehen ja naisen välille, mistä syystä tarkastelun keskiössä on Ainon ja Väinämöisen suhde. We applied X-ray computed microtomography (μ-CT) in combination with anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) analysis to study metamorphic rock fabrics in an oriented drill core sample of pyrite-pyrrhotite-quartz-mica schist. The sample is extracted from the Paleoproterozoic Martimo metasedimentary belt of northern Finland. The μ-CT resolves the spatial distribution, shape and orientation of 25,920 pyrrhotite and 153 pyrite grains localized in mm-thick metapelitic laminae. Together with microstructural analysis, the μ-CT allows us to interpret the prolate symmetry of the AMS ellipsoid and its relationship to the deformation history. The participation of national and ethnic minorities in Polish political life after 1989 is one of the achieve-ments of democratic Poland. Tracing the history of minority participation in local and parliamentary elec-tions after 1990 makes it clear that this history is dominated by the German minority. Especially controversial is the question of the admission of divorced people living in civil partnership to the sacraments of penance and reconciliation and the Eucharist.
