Tutkielmassani vertailen B1-ruotsin oppikirjaa Klick 7 ja B2-saksan oppikirjaa Super 8 kieliopin opetuksen näkökulmasta. Tarkoituksena on selvittää, mitä yhtäläisyyksiä ja eroja alkeisoppikirjojen rakenteiden esitystavassa ja –järjestyksessä on, sekä millaisilla tehtävillä ja miten monipuolisesti opetettuja rakenteita harjoitellaan. Laadullisen sisältöanalyysin lisäksi haastattelen kirjoja käyttänyttä opettajaa saadakseni käytännön näkökulman mukaan tutkielmaani. Although psychoanalysts are interested in symptom reduction as an outcome, they are looking for instruments to measure sustaining changes in the unconscious mental functioning. In this article it is discussed that conceptually well-founded transformation of manifest dreams analyzed with precise empirical methods could be considered as a promising indicator for such therapeutic changes. Dimensionality reduction framework for detecting anomalies from network logs

Dynamic web services are vulnerable to multitude of intrusions that could be previously unknown. Server logs contain vast amounts of information about network traffic, and finding attacks from these logs improves the security of the services. In this research features are extracted from HTTP query parameters using 2-grams. We propose a framework that uses dimensionality reduction and clustering to identify anomalous behavior. The framework detects intrusions from log data gathered from a real network service. This approach is adaptive, works on the application layer and reduces the number of log lines that needs to be inspected. Furthermore, the traffic can be visualized. peerReviewed
Interpersonal Distance in the SARS-CoV-2 Crisis

Background Mandatory rules for social distancing to curb the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic require individuals to maintain a critical interpersonal distance above 1.5 m. However, this contradicts our natural preference, which is closer to 1 m for non-intimate encounters, for example, when asking a stranger for directions. Objective This review addresses how humans typically regulate interpersonal distances, in order to highlight the challenges of enforcing atypically large interpersonal distances. Malnutrīcija bērniem ar bērnu cerebrālo trieku

Pētījuma mērķis: Noskaidrot malnutrīcijas risku bērniem ar bērnu cerebrālo trieku. Pētījuma hipotēze: Latvijā malnutrīcija bērniem ar BCT sastopama tikpat bieži kā citur pasaulē. Petījuma metodes: anketa “Ēšanas grūtības un malnutrīcijas pazīmes bērniem ar BCT”, antropometriskie dati, ķermeņa masas procentiļu skala. Rezultāti un secinājumi: Pētījumā iesaistīts 41 respondents. Nepietiekams augums ir 14 bērniem, nepietiekams svars ir 22 bērniem, nepietiekams ĶMI ir 19 bērniem. Bērni ar BCT Latvijā ir pakļauti malnutrīcijas riskam. Pastāv statistiski ticamas korelācijas starp nepietiekamu ķermeņa augumu (garumu), ķermeņa masu, ĶMI un malnutrīcijas, disfāgijas pazīmēm.
