Pro gradussa selvitettiin Suomen osallistumista Naton Kosovo Force (KFOR) ‐kriisinhallintaoperaatioon keväällä ja kesällä 1999. KFOR ajoittuu rauhanturvaamisen murrosvaiheeseen, jolloin perinteiset YK-operaatiot muuttuivat monimutkaisiksi ja vaativiksi kriisinhallintaoperaatioiksi. Tutkimuksessa haettiin vastausta siihen, miksi ja millä perusteella Suomi päätti osallistua KFOR‐operaatioon ja mitkä olivat Suomen pataljoonan ensimmäiset vaiheet perustamisesta toimialueelle saapumiseen. Self-Esteem, Socially Prescribed Perfectionism, and Parental Burnout

AbstractSocially prescribed perfectionism (SPP) has been shown to be a risk factor for parental burnout (Sorkkila & Aunola, 2020). In the present study, we investigated the moderating role of self-esteem in this association. A total of 479 Finnish mothers of infants filled in questionnaires measuring their self-esteem, SPP, and symptoms of parental burnout. The results of structural equation modelling (SEM) showed that mothers’ self-esteem moderated the effect of SPP on parental burnout: Mothers with high self-esteem were at lower risk of showing burnout symptoms even when SPP co-occurred, whereas for mothers with low self-esteem, the effect of SPP on burnout symptoms was further streng…

There is provisional evidence that burnout may be contagious within professional communities via the crossover effect, referring to an inter-individual transmission of stress or strain. However, our understanding of effective means for tackling stressors is scarce. We tested a two-level path model to explore the interrelation between teachers’ proactive self- and co-regulative strategies and experienced burnout. Purpose To investigate whether 4 weeks of normobaric “live high–train low and high” (LHTLH) causes different hematological, cardiorespiratory, and sea-level performance changes compared to living and training in normoxia during a preparation season. Methods Nineteen (13 women, 6 men) cross-country skiers competing at the national or international level completed a 28-day period (∼18 h day−1) of LHTLH in normobaric hypoxia of ∼2400 m (LHTLH group) including two 1 h low-intensity training sessions per week in normobaric hypoxia of 2500 m while continuing their normal training program in normoxia. Tutkimus käsittelee kaupunkikuvan tallentamista kaupunkien päättäjien, museoiden ja kaupunkilaisten näkökulmas-ta. Tutkimuskysymyksiä ovat: mikä on kaupunkikuvan tallentamisen työnjako, miksi kaupunkikuvaa tulee tallentaa sekä mitä ja miten kaupunkikuvaa on tallennettu. Verrokkikaupunkeina ovat Tampere, Jyväskylä ja Kankaanpää. Tutkimuksessa esitetään kaupunkikuvan tallentamisen nykytilannetta sekä fyysisen kaupunkikuvan tallentamisen että siitä tehtyjen representaatioiden tallentamisen valossa.
