Effect of ozone and hydrogen peroxide on off-flavor compounds and water quality in a recirculating aquaculture system

The recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) is an ever-developing technology for producing fish with a low environmental impact. However, off-flavors can be a major problem in RAS fish production. Off-flavor compounds are of microbial origin and are accumulated in fish flesh. They typically cause a musty and earthy taste and odor, which consumers find unacceptable. Here we hypothesized that oxidizing compounds such as ozone (O3), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and their combinations, referred to as advanced oxidation processes (AOP)s, can remove or decrease these compounds in water and prevent their accumulation in fish. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millainen merkitys sairaalaopetusinterventiolla oli ollut oppilaille äitien kokemusten mukaan. Tutkimus kartoittaa lisäksi, millaiset tapahtumat koulussa johtivat sairaalakoulujaksolle. Tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena haastattelututkimuksena. Aineisto koostuu neljän sellaisen äidin syvähaastatteluista, joiden lapsi oli ollut sairaalakoulussa lukuvuonna 2013–2014 sosioemotionaalisten pulmien vuoksi. Aineisto analysoitiin käyttämällä aineistolähtöistä sisällönanalyysia. The aim of this prospective and randomized study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a reduced shock strength in transvenous implantable defibrillator therapy. So far clinical data concerning the safety margin of the shock energy in ICD therapy do not exist. Intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) is becoming progressively more common during brain tumor surgery. We present data from our case series of brain tumor surgery performed with the aid of IOUS in order to identify IOUS advantages and crucial aspects that may improve the management of neurosurgical procedures for brain tumors. Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, miten luokanopettajaopiskelijat (N = 76) arvioivat omaa tekstien tuottamistaan ja sen oppimista. Tutkimusaineistona olivat lomakekyselyn avoimet vastaukset. Aineisto analysoitiin aineistolähtöisen ja teoriaohjaavan sisällönanalyysin keinoin. Tulokset osoittavat, että opiskelijat lähestyvät tekstien tuottamista ja sen oppimista suhtautumis-, osaamis- ja kehittymiskeskeisesti.
