Préparer et réussir le CAPES de documentation

2008

Collisional shifting and broadening coefficients for the rovibrational anisotropic lines of the v1/2v2 Fermi dyad in CO2 gas studied by stimulated Ra…

1998

0377-0486; High-resolution stimulated Raman spectroscopy was applied to the study of collisional broadening and shifting for rovibrational anisotropic Raman Lines of the Fermi dyad of molecular carbon dioxide, The O(J) lines of the v1 band and the S(J) lines of the 2v2 band were recorded at 295 K. The pressure-induced line shifts were obtained and compared with the overall shift of the high-density Raman Q-branch, A rotational quantum number dependence of the rovibrational line broadening coefficients was observed. The experimental line broadening coefficients were used in order to check the ability of two theoretical methods (random phase approximation and sum rule) for calculating the lin…

Mārketinga aktivitātes Apes novada pašvaldībā.

2018

Biomolecular conjugation inside synthetic polymer nanopores via glycoprotein-lectin interactions

2011

We demonstrate the supramolecular bioconjugation of concanavalin A (Con A) protein with glycoenzyme horseradish peroxidase (HRP) inside single nanopores, fabricated in heavy ion tracked polymer membranes. Firstly, the HRP-enzyme was covalently immobilized on the inner wall of the pores using carbodiimide coupling chemistry. The immobilized HRP-enzyme molecules bear sugar (mannose) groups available for the binding of Con A protein. Secondly, the bioconjugation of Con A on the pore wall was achieved through its biospecific interactions with the mannose residues of the HRP enzyme. The immobilization of biomolecules inside the nanopore leads to the reduction of the available area for ionic tran…

The Role of the Night & the Northern Lights in the Production of a New Touristic Imaginary of the North

2015

International audience; Our work is based on empirical observation: the development of a tourist offer proposing to observe the northern lights in some Nordic areas. We place these developments in a broader dynamic of changes in our relationship to the night. These changes find a translation in a tourism that takes the night and its environmental resources as objects. This communication focuses on a particular object of these tourist dynamics: the northern lights. We formulate the following hypothesis: the erosion by the urban lighting of the “natural” night and of the accessibility to its “environmental resources” (as the starry sky, for example) provides an opportunity for some areas of l…

Sodium provides unique insights into transgenerational effects of ocean acidification on bivalve shell formation

2016

Ocean acidification is likely to have profound impacts on marine bivalves, especially on their early life stages. Therefore, it is imperative to know whether and to what extent bivalves will be able to acclimate or adapt to an acidifying ocean over multiple generations. Here, we show that reduced seawater pH projected for the end of this century (i.e., pH 7.7) led to a significant decrease of shell production of newly settled juvenile Manila clams, Ruditapes philippinarum. However, juveniles from parents exposed to low pH grew significantly faster than those from parents grown at ambient pH, exhibiting a rapid transgenerational acclimation to an acidic environment. The sodium composition of…

Seawater carbonate chemistry and growth, physiological performance of the Manila clam Ruditapes philippinarum

2018

Ocean acidification may interfere with the calcifying physiology of marine bivalves. Therefore, understanding their capacity for acclimation and adaption to low pH over multiple generations is crucial to make predictions about the fate of this economically and ecologically important fauna in an acidifying ocean. Transgenerational exposure to an acidification scenario projected by the end of the century (i.e., pH 7.7) has been shown to confer resilience to juvenile offspring of the Manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum. However, whether, and to what extent, this resilience can persist into adulthood are unknown and the mechanisms driving transgenerational acclimation remain poorly understood.…

The loss of the inducible Aspergillus carbonarius MFS transporter MfsA leads to ochratoxin A overproduction

2014

Ochratoxin A (OTA), a nephrotoxic compound produced by certain Aspergillus and Penicillium species, is one of the most abundant mycotoxins in food commodities. Aspergillus carbonarius is the main source of OTA in wine, grape juice and dried vine fruits. Although many studies have focused on OTA production by A. carbonarius, little is known about the genes related to OTA production and transport. We have found a transporter that belongs to the major facilitator superfamily (MfsA) which is highly expressed with a 102-fold induction in an ochratoxigenic A. carbonarius strain compared to a low OTA producer strain. The encoding mfsA gene shows similarity to the multidrug efflux transporter flu1 …

Genes differentially expressed by Aspergillus carbonarius strains under ochratoxin A producing conditions

2010

Aspergillus carbonarius is an important ochratoxin A (OTA)-producing fungus that is responsible for toxin contamination of grapes and wine, coffee and cocoa. A suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) approach was performed with two strains of A. carbonarius, antagonistic in their OTA-production ability, to identify genes whose expression is linked with the ability to produce OTA. BlastX analysis identified 109 differentially-expressed sequences putatively involved in the production of OTA, with significant similarities (Evalue < 10− 5) to sequences deposited in the NCBI non-redundant protein database. Of the 109 ESTs, 26% were involved in regulation processes, 15% corresponded to hypoth…
