Renewed Sicilian Urban Landscapes. Transformation, Regeneration and Reuse of degraded areas

In this study, through a multidisciplinary approach, some degraded Sicilian urban landscapes, today renewed thanks to urban regeneration interventions, will be ana-lyzed. Cities that look to the future and that react posi-tively to the current ecological and economic crisis. Urban centers that – through collective participation, the support of organizations, cultural associations and the sensitivity of local governments – are investing heavily in the theme of urban regeneration and re-cycling.

Diodorus’ information on Sicilian geography are few, and they occur in Books 4-5, devoted to local myths. The historian deals especially with subjects such as insularity, site, dimensions of the Island, with the aim to stress the central role played by Sicily within the ancient Mediterranean world, also from a geographical point of view. In Diodorus’ Sicilian “Archaeology” the coeval data about geography mingle with mythical information, often approximative and unreal, which the historian found in previous literary traditions. Recent scholarship pointed out how the towns of Sicily experienced wide urbanistic and architectural transformations during the Hellenistic period. [spa] Este artículo da noticia de la actividad del centro de producción de tapices de Tortosa entre 1425 y 1513; se documentan los maestros Pere Alfonso, Berenguer Baldrich, Joan Falsison, Jaume Sastre, Pere Marquès, Loor Batur, mestre Rubert y Joan Marroquí. Además, se proponen dos hipótesis principales: que en Tortosa se intentó poner en marcha una importante manufactura de tapices ("draps de Ras") hacia 1450, y que el citado Joan Falsison es el autor del tapiz de la Santa Cena de la catedral de Tortosa.
