L’analisi mediante RM del tensore di diffusione (Diffusion Tensor Imaging, DTI) consente di valutare anche in vivo e con modalità non invasive il processo di diffusione delle molecole d’acqua nei tessuti biologici. La peculiare organizzazione di alcuni tessuti biologici (es: muscoli, sostanza bianca del sistema nervoso centrale e tessuti ad alta cellularità) influenza tale fenomeno rendendolo anisotropo e quindi ben valutabile con tali tecniche di studio. Ileus Following Spontaneous Jejunum Intramural Hematoma: Case Report and Review of the Literature

Anticoagulant therapy may cause the onset of a spontaneous intramural hematoma of the small bowel, in the jejunum, ileum or duodenum. A 53-year-old woman on therapy with heparin for previous pulmonary embolism was admitted for abdominal pain and vomit. Computed tomography scan visualized an intramural hematoma of the jejunum causing subtotal obstruction of the intestinal lumen. The patient underwent resection of a part of the jejunum, securing intestinal continuity by a mechanical side-to-side anastomosis. An important element in historical research is analysis of the diplomatic reports from the Old Commonwealth. They show the history of the state as well as its internal and foreign politics from another historical perspective. In 1700 the Great Northern War broke out and changed the political system in Middle and Eastern Europe for decades to come. The evens were of interest for diplomats from foreign courts. One of them was Philip Plantamour, a secretary to ambassador George Stepney in Berlin. He sent his reports to the British Isles. Core flooding experiments to determine multiphase flow in properties of rock such as relative permeability can show significant fluctuations in terms of pressure, saturation, and electrical conductivity. That is typically not considered in the Darcy scale interpretation but treated as noise.
