Tuhoisa influentsa tarttui leskipastorska Pihlin kotikirjastoon: pandemian vaikutus 1800-luvun perheen kirjakokoelmaan

2023

The influence of brassinosteroid on growth and parameters of photosynthesis of wheat and mustard plants.

1984

The growth response of wheat (Triticum aest. L.) and mustard seedlings (Sinapis alba L.) treated with 10(-6) mol · l(-1) brassinosteroid (BR) foliar spray was measured. BR-treatment resulted in a general promotion of plant growth. We found the accumulation of photosynthates to be stimulated in the treated plants, as indicated by enhanced fresh and dry weights of leaves and shoots. BR also promoted the synthesis of soluble proteins and soluble reducing sugars, whereas the chlorophyll content was hardly affected. CO(2)-fixation in vivo as well as the (in vitro) RubPC-ase activity of BR-treated leaves were enhanced. In the developing wheat leaves we detected no difference in the ratio fraction…

Vom Sinn des Verfahrenskonzepts und der Verfahrensvielfalt – und warum das Baukasten-System in der Psychotherapie nicht funktioniert

2019

Why the concept of distinct psychotherapeutic approaches is indispensable - and why the tool box concept of psychotherapy cannot work Background: In Germany, the official psychotherapy guidelines are oriented towards the model of distinct psychotherapeutic approaches. Within the German health care system this also applies to the training in psychotherapy. Some critics, however, are presently pleading in favour of abolishing the model of distinct psychotherapeutic approaches, which also implies to abolish the concept of the so called "Richtlinienverfahren" in Germany - approaches of psychotherapy which proved to be efficacious and whose costs are reimbursed by the insurance companies. Object…

Muslim Martyrs and Pagan Vampires

2005

In December 2000 the government of Kano State in Muslim northern Nigeria reintroduced shari’a and established a new board for film and video censorship charged with the responsibility to “sanitize” the video industry and enforce the compliance of video films with moral standards of Islam. Stakeholders of the industry took up the challenge and responded by inserting religious issues into their narratives, and by adding a new feature genre focusing on conversion to Islam. This genre is characterized by violent Muslim/pagan encounters, usually set in a mythical past, culminating in the conversion of the pagans. This article will first outline northern Nigerian video culture and then go on to e…

Theoretical orientations of spanish psychotherapists: Integration and eclecticism as modern and postmodern cultural trends.

2006

In this article, we focus on the theoretical orientations of Spanish psychotherapists with reference to the concepts of integration and eclecticism associated respectively with the cultural patterns of modernity and postmodernity. Data are reported from 179 Spanish therapists who responded to the Development of Psychotherapists Common Core Questionnaire (Orlinsky et al., 1999). The results indicated that these Spanish therapists do not show a tendency toward postmodern eclecticism, suggesting that present clinical practice in Spain still needs high-profile theoretical constructs.

Ética y psicoterapia: Una perspectiva sociocultural

2019

2005

Background There is a lack of questionnaires assessing the motivation of inpatients to scrutinize occupational stresses and deal with them as part of their psychotherapeutic treatment. Work-related stress contributes significantly to the development of mental disorders. Vocational reintegration is an outcome criterion for the success of vocational rehabilitation. Patients are often not motivated for dealing with occupational stresses during inpatient medical rehabilitation. Therefore it is necessary to assess patient motivation at the beginning of treatment, in order to assign them to specific interventions, e. g. promoting motivation. Method A questionnaire (Fragebogen zur berufsbezogenen …

Letting go of your dreams—Adjustment of child-related goal appraisals and depressive symptoms during infertility treatment

2008

Abstract To examine the adjustment of child-related goal appraisals during infertility treatment and whether such adjustment contributes to depressive symptoms 178 (86 men, 92 women; age for women M  = 33.92, SD  = 0.34, for men M  = 35.68, SD  = 0.45) patients at an Infertility Clinic filled in child-related goal appraisal questionnaires six times: (1) before starting the hormone injections, (2) before the oocytes were retrieved, (3) after embryo transfer, (4) the day when the pregnancy test was done, and (5) two and (6) six months after the infertility treatment. At the first and last measurement times they filled in questionnaire on depressive symptoms. Appraisals concerning child-relate…

Application of White Mustard Bran and Flour on Bread as Natural Preservative Agents.

2021

In this study, the antifungal activity of white mustard bran (MB), a by-product of mustard (Sinapis alba) milling, and white mustard seed flour (MF) was tested against mycotoxigenic fungi in the agar diffusion method. The results obtained were posteriorly confirmed in a quantitative test, determining the minimum concentration of extract that inhibits the fungal growth (MIC) and the minimum concentration with fungicidal activity (MFC). Since MF demonstrated no antifungal activity, the MB was stored under different temperature conditions and storage time to determine its antifungal stability. Finally, an in situ assay was carried out, applying the MB as a natural ingredient into the dough to …

Constructions of Nonagency in the Clients’ Initial Problem Formulations at the Outset of Psychotherapy

2019

This multiple case study investigated how clients construct nonagentic positions when formulating their problems in the beginning of their first psychotherapy session. The initial problem formulations of nine clients entering psychotherapy were analyzed with a detailed model drawing on discursive methodology, the 10 Discursive Tools model (10DT). We found ten problem formulation categories, each one distinguished by the tool from the 10DT model primarily used to construct nonagency. All clients gave several problem formulations from different categories and constructed nonagentic positions with a variety of discursive tools. When the resulting problem formulation categories were read in com…
