Deserts and semi-deserts, such as the Sahara-Sahel region in North Africa, are exposed environments with restricted vegetation coverage. Due to limited physical surface structures, these open areas provide a promising ecosystem to understand selection for crypsis. Here, we review knowledge on camouflage adaptation in the Sahara-Sahel rodent community, which represents one of the best documented cases of phenotype-environment convergence comprising a marked taxonomic diversity. Apkopojot iegūtos datus par kalcija kanālu blokatoru patēriņu var secināt, ka vairāk tiek patērēti dihidropiridīnu grupas kalcija kanālu blokatori. The research goal the article was to present the ways of polemical fight of Cyril of Jerusalem in pre-baptismal catecheses given by him during the period of Lent. Catechumens, listening to catechetical speeches of their bishop, often leamed about the existence of various theological misinterpretation. The Jerusalem shepherd noted at the beginning of his cycle of catecheses that he would pay attention to the heretical views. The bishop included an extensive description of the existing at that time false faith groups in one of the initial catechesis to sensitize the listeners to the spiritual evil introduced into their minds by heretics. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin adaptiivisia taitoja 13–18-vuotiailla nuorilla, joilla oli Downin syndrooma. Tutkimuksen tehtävänä oli tuottaa kuvailevaa tietoa adaptiivisista taidoista, sekä selvittää eri taustamuuttujien yhteyksiä adaptiivisiin taitoihin. Tutkimuksen kohteena olleiden nuorten opettajia haastateltiin Adaptive Behavior Inventory –mittarin lyhyen version (Brown & Leigh 1986) avulla, jolloin he kertoivat näkemyksensä opettamansa nuoren adaptiivisista taidoista. Aineisto kerättiin syksyn 2012 aikana eri puolelta Suomea. Vastauksia saatiin yhteensä 18 ja niitä verrattiin sekä kehitysvammaisten nuorten normiaineistoon, että kaikkien nuorten normiaineistoon. Yhdistetyn voima- ja kestävyysharjoittelun vaikutuksista ollaan hyvin kiinnostuneita suorituskyvyn kannalta, ja tutkimuksia voima- ja kestävyysharjoitusten toteuttamisesta samassa harjoituksessa ei tällä hetkellä löydy vielä paljon. Tutkimuksen päätarkoituksena oli selvittää 12 viikon yhdistetyn voima- ja kestävyysharjoittelun vaikutuksia voimantuottokyvyn, tehontuoton ja kestävyyssuorituskyvyn suhteen. Osa koehenkilöistä suoritti yhdistettyä voima- ja kestävyysharjoittelua (E+S) ja osa pelkkää kestävyysharjoittelua (E). This study examined relations of the emotion and part of the upper body during the keyboard instrument performance. The study showed the trace from the lateral direction to watch movement. As a result, there was a difference in the emotional expression of the performance in the head and upper arm. In this way, we understood that the part except the hand was important to emotional expression in the keyboard instrument performance. The future investigation is going to analyze the front.

Bakalaura darbā „Adaptācija klimata pārmaiņām Latvijā - plānotās rīcības un iespējamie risinājumi” ir analizēta dažādu respondentu grupu informētība par klimata pārmaiņu radītajiem riskiem Latvijā. Bakalaura darbā ir apkopotas un analizētas projektu publikācijas klimata pārmaiņu pētījumos, kā arī jau pieņemtas Baltijas jūras reģiona valstu Nacionālās adaptācijas stratēģijas. Rezultātā ir veikta klimata pārmaiņu risku-adaptācijas pasākumu analīze un ieteikumu izstrāde Latvijas Nacionālās adaptācijas stratēģijas izveidei.
