Haptic perception (HP) is a perceptual modality requiring manual exploration to elaborate the physical characteristics of external stimuli through multisensory integrative cortical pathways. Cortical areas exploit processes of predictive coding that collect sensorial inputs to build and update internal perceptual models. Stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju saistība ar pozitīvajām ilūzijām

Pētījumā mērķis ir noskaidrot saistības starp stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģijām un pozitīvajām ilūzijām. Tiek argumentēts, ka pozitīvās ilūzijas paaugstina indivīda psiholoģisko labklājību. Pozitīvo ilūziju netiešai mērīšanai tika adaptēta jauna metode – “Sociāli vēlamas atbildēšanas aptauja”. Stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju mērīšanai tika izmantota latviešu valodā adaptētā - “Stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju aptauja”. Pētījumā piedalījās 155 respondenti, vecumā no 19 līdz 36 gadiem. Atklājās, ka nepastāv nozīmīgas korelācijas starp konstruktiem, tādēļ hipotēze tiek noraidīta. In the early 2000’s, a new component of the cost of reproduction was proposed: oxidative stress. Since then the oxidative cost of reproduction hypothesis has, however, received mixed support. Different arguments have been provided to explain this. Among them, the lack of a life history perspective on most experimental tests was suggested. We manipulated the levels of a key intracellular antioxidant (glutathione) in captive zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata) during a short period of early life and subsequently tested the oxidative cost of reproduction. Maģistra darba mērķis bija pētīt 2. tipa cukura diabēta ārstēšanu un terapijā izmantoto perorālo medikamentu apriti SIA “Jelgavas Pils aptieka” Pils aptiekā no 2016. gada 1. janvāra līdz 2017. gada 31. decembrim un noskaidrot aptiekas klientu informētību par 2. tipa cukura diabētu. Maģistra darbā aprakstīti 2. tipa cukura diabēta saslimšanas riska faktori, simptomi, komplikācijas un diagnostika, kā arī Latvijā pieejamās monoterapijas un kombinēto medikamentu grupas slimības ārstēšanai. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka visbiežāk pacientiem izrakstītā monoterapijas medikamentu grupa bija biguanīdu grupa un sulfonilurīnvielas grupa. Maģistra darbs sastāv no 3 daļām. Pirmajā daļā analizēta pieejamā literatūra. Analīzes rezultāti liecina, ka farmaceiti savā ikdienas darbā galvenokārt pakļauti šādiem darba riskiem: ergonomiskiem, troksnim, mikroklimatisko parametru svārstībām, psihoemocionālajam stresam darbā. Otrajā daļā aprakstītas izvēlētās piemērotākās pētījuma metodes. Trešajā daļā atspoguļoti pētījuma rezultāti, kas apliecina, ka farmaceiti strādā piespiedu pozās, bet nav pakļauti fiziskai slodzei. Būtiska nozīme ir psihoemocionālajam stresam darbā. Foreign language anxiety : the case of young learners of English in Swedish primary classrooms

Although foreign language anxiety is a widely studied construct assumed to develop from negative experiences of language instruction, few researchers have focused on young learners in this regard. This multiple case study investigates levels and triggers of language anxiety in Swedish primary classrooms under rather favorable learning conditions with a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere, and without formal knowledge requirements or grades.
