The pluridisciplinary team, called Gunzo, has been set up in the Engineering School Arts et Métiers Paristech in Cluny (France) to prepare a digital mock-up of the greatest Romanesque abbey church of the Christendom (12th cent.). Unfortunately this building was destroyed after the French Revolution. Due to the only 8% remaining now, the visit is difficult to understand. It was necessary to organize didactic tools to respond to the touristic affluence.

In this paper, we want to discuss the complexity of the mechanisms of medieval building stone supplying based on a diachronically and multidisciplinary inquiry on several Cistercian and ducal study cases. The first results enlighten the constraint caused by land property that limits the builders to a supplying network shaped by domain and law. Thanks to the growing vitality of trade and the arrival of independent stone providers, criteria of selection gradually focus on stone itself. Both global and individual strategies evolve then, reinventing the networks of stone providing and the markets.

The study of the hydraulic preparations of Phoenician-Punic Sicily constitutes a field of investigation alas problematic, especially with regard to the evidence related to the archaic-classical period. Not we know, for example, hydraulic works of a certain engineering commitment comparable to the oldest aqueducts of Tyre known from the sources 2 or the great Greek hydraulic infrastructures of the archaic era 3. L'area di contrada Amone, già nota per la presenza di un impianto termale e la scoperta di lacerti di mosaici policromi, si arricchisce adesso di una nuova area artigianale. Le groupe de travail « SHS et santé » de l’alliance Athéna est chargé d’une mission anticipatrice portant sur les thématiques de Sciences Humaines et Sociales concernant la santé afin de stimuler et faire évoluer la recherche de SHS sur ce domaine, et d’en assurer l’ouverture internationale.
