Du clou à la charpente : fabrication, mise en oeuvre et tracéologie des clous de murus gallicus. L’exemple de Boviolles

The use of iron nails is a hallmark of Celtic military architecture. These large nails have a particular interest for a technological approach to fortificationwalls with internal frame. Their method of manufacture may vary from case of the most strict economy to a disproportionate investment as raw material as in manufacturing time. Beyond the morphological analysis, a sustained attention to the traces of implementation readable on these nails bring additional informations. The woody traces fossilized by corrosion and the folds related to the driving of the nails make it possible to restore the dimensions of the beams, the assemblies and the methods of implementation.

Dans cet article, nous proposons de partir à la découverte des collections d’antiquités du musée des Beaux-Arts et d’Archéologie de Besançon, l’un des plus anciens musées de France, issu du legs de l’abbé Boisot, daté de 1694, qui comprenait, outre la bibliothèque du cardinal de Granvelle, une collection de médailles et une vingtaine d’objets d’art, et a été récemment rénové . Nous avons choisi de nous concentrer sur quelques-uns des personnages qui, par leurs actions ou leurs donations, ont enrichi le musée entre les années 1870 et la première guerre mondiale. This report presents the results of a second series of excavations carried out between the oppidum of Boviolles and the ancient city of Nasium. It affects an occupation dated between La Tène D2 and the beginning of the augustean period, characterized by a causeway linking the two entities, a level delivering traces of artisanal activities, wells and a cooking kiln. This occupation is also characterized by the presence of the Roman army embodied in many militaria. This presence is central to the issue of the development of the ancient settlement of Nasium.

Metālliešanas keramika Aizkraukles dzīvesvietās viduslaikos

Rakstā analizēti Aizkraukles viduslaiku dzīves vietā atrastie māla tīģeļi, lejamais kausiņš, lejamveidnes, kā arī vairākas to tīģeļu lauskas ar piekusušām metāla paliekām. Viens no interesantākajiem izpētes objektiem ir unikāla māla lejamveidne, kurā atlietas pakavsaktas ar daudzskaldņu galiem. Līdz šim šī tipa pakavsaktas tika uzskatītas par Gotlandei raksturīgām un tika datētas ar 9.- 10. gs. Aizkraukles lejamveidne pierāda šo saktu izgatavošanu arī Aizkraukles pilskalnā, un to augšējo hronoloģisko robežu nosaka ar 11.- 12. gs. Analizēts līdz šim Latvijas arheoloģiskajā materiālā nezināms slēgtais jeb aizvākotais tīģelis.

In order to go further limits inherent to subject disjunction, or those imposed by sources, periods or sites, this thesis emphasises a multidisciplinary and diachronic approach of stone supply on medieval and modern building sites. Thanks to the confrontation of buildings with different origins and functions, this work tries to dissect process of choices and stone supply network. It finally considers connection between people and a natural ressource.
