Nestriktās klasterizācijas algoritmi un to lietojumi tekstu apstrādē

Darbs ir veltīts klasiskās un nestriktās klasterizācijas algoritmiem, kuri tika pielietoti teksta klasterizācijai. Tiek apskatīti divi klasiskās klasterizācijas algoritmi, kas ir KM un hierarhiskās klasterizācijas metodes, un divi nestriktas klasterizācijas algoritmi: FCM un FCMdd klasterizācijas. Klasterizācijas algoritmi tika izmantoti “BBC News” ziņu portāla rakstu klassifikācijai pa piecām tēmām: bizness, tehnoloģijas, izklaide, sports un politika. Tika analizēti un interpretēti skaitliskie rezultāti.
New methods for analysing colour texture based on the Karhunen–Loeve transform and quantification

In this article, we offer an original study on the analysis of the texture of colour images based on Local Linear Transforms (LLT). Our colour approach is based on the separability of the data which reduces the number of texture parameters. We also propose the extension of Run Lengths (RL) and Co-occurrence Matrixes (CM) to colour images. In this respect, two different ways were explored (data merging and quantification). We finally present a comparative study showing the efficiency of the first method (LLT) as well as the complementary nature of the other methods (RL, CM).
Improving Karhunen-Loeve based transform coding by using square isometries

We propose, for an image compression system based on the Karhunen-Loeve transform implemented by neural networks, to take into consideration the 8 square isometries of an image block. The proper isometry applied puts the 8*8 square image block in a standard position, before applying the image block as input to the neural network architecture. The standard position is defined based on the variance of its four 4*4 sub-blocks (quadro partitioned) and brings the sub-block having the greatest variance in a specific corner and in another specific adjoining corner the sub-block having the second variance (if this is not possible the third is considered). Kieliparipäiväkodit, -koulut ja -kampukset sekä kaksikielinen koulutus suomeksi ja ruotsiksi ovat herättäneet keskustelua jo reilun vuosikymmenen ajan. Kieliparitoiminta suomen- ja ruotsinkielisten yksiköiden välillä voi tarjota mahdollisuuksia monenlaiseen yhteistyöhön ja monikieliseen työskentelyyn. Samalla suomenkielisten määrällinen enemmistöasema voi aiheuttaa haasteita ennen kaikkea ruotsin kielen näkökulmasta, vaikka kielillä onkin sama asema kansalliskielinä. Kasvatuksellisen ja koulutuksellisen tasa-arvon toteutuminen monikielistyvässä Suomessa edellyttää entistä kielitietoisempaa varhaiskasvatusta (Puukko ym., 2019). Monikulttuurisuuden kohtaaminen on arvioitu yhdeksi keskeisimmäksi varhaiskasvatuksen tulevaisuuden osaamistaidoksi (Karila ym., 2013), ja monikielisyyden lisääntyminen haastaa ja kannustaa kehittämään entistä sensitiivisempiä, vuorovaikutuksellisia pedagogisia käytänteitä (Karila, 2016). Lifelong movement and physical activity (PA) patterns develop during early childhood. Therefore, educators (teachers and practitioners) in early childhood education and care (ECEC) should provide opportunities to support children’s play, PA, and movement development.
