Dimensions of the Relationship between the Individual and Her Unique Worldview Construction

2021

Each individual constructs his own private worldview using elements from established worldview traditions. The biographical character of this formation makes this the individual’s “Unique Worldview Construction” (UWC). The purpose of this theoretical study is to analyse the dynamic relationship between the individual and her own UWC. It describes more how than what he believes in or denies. The variation is exceedingly complex. To make it accessible, the complexity is crystallized into seven dimensions: (1) The authority structure deals with the individual’s perception of herself as being superordinate/subordinate to her own UWC. (2) The importance dimension analyses the span from indiffere…

Simultaneous Support for and Opposition to Brands : A Study on Brand Love and Hate - the Two Poles of Brand Polarisation

2023

This chapter discusses the drivers of brand polarisation (i.e. simultaneously loving and hating a brand). Despite its relevance for brand managers and public relations executives, brand polarisation remains heavily understudied among scholars. This study addresses the focal phenomenon by examining consumers and the role of social media within the research context. The key theoretical concepts introduced in this chapter include brand polarisation, brand attitude, brand relationships, brand love, brand hate, brand experience and social media brand communities. Using ten in-depth, semi-structured interviews, 36 loved and/or hated brands were discussed by the study participants. The findings de…

A microcosm experiment to evaluate the influence of location and quality of plant residues on residue decomposition and genetic structure of soil mic…

2007

The effects of location (soil surface vs. incorporated in soil) and nature of plant residues on degradation processes and indigenous microbial communities were studied by means of soil microcosms incubation in which the different soil zones influenced by decomposition i.e. residues, soil adjacent to residues (detritusphere) and distant soil unaffected by decomposition (bulk soil) were considered. Plant material decomposition, organic carbon assimilation by the soil microbial biomass and soil inorganic N dynamics were studied with 13 C labelled wheat straw and young rye. The genetic structure of the community in each soil zone were compared between residue locations and type by applying B- a…

Frontières des communautés polarisées : application à l'étude des théories complotistes autour des vaccins

2021

2004

The aim of this paper is to analyze the spatial changes in the Dijon urban area (COMADI) by studying in particular the new tendencies of localization of the high order producer services. Our results display a multicentric structure of the COMADI which exhibits several employment poles. Not only the economic composition of these poles differs between the central pole and the peripheral ones but this composition changes over the study period (1990-1999). New localization logics appear for the high order services : if the historical center remains specialized in financial activities, insurance and real estate (FIRE), the other producer services are more likely to be localized in the periphery.…

Measurement of top-quark polarisation observables and a search for dark matter in single-top-quark production with the ATLAS detector at the LHC

2022
