Naturalne zbiorniki wodne są w Europie bardzo cennymi obszarami pod względem florystycznym. Wśród nich ważne dla zachowania różnorodności biologicznej flory w Polsce są źródła. Niniejsza praca przedstawia pierwsze w Polsce stanowisko Potametum pectinati Carstensen 1955 z klasy Potametea w limnokrenowym źródle krasowym. Dotychczas zespól ten nie był notowany w tego typu siedlisku w Europie. W artykule przedstawiono skład florystyczny i wymagania ekologiczne tego zespołu.

The essay examines the role of the agreement as a tool for managing property relationships in crossborder marriages and registered partnerships, in light of EU Regulations 1103 and 1104 of 2016, on the property regimes of international married or registered couples. Compression and load balancing for efficient sparse matrix-vector product on multicore processors and graphics processing units

We contribute to the optimization of the sparse matrix-vector product by introducing a variant of the coordinate sparse matrix format that balances the workload distribution and compresses both the indexing arrays and the numerical information. Our approach is multi-platform, in the sense that the realizations for (general-purpose) multicore processors as well as graphics accelerators (GPUs) are built upon common principles, but differ in the implementation details, which are adapted to avoid thread divergence in the GPU case or maximize compression element-wise (i.e., for each matrix entry) for multicore architectures. Pro Bono Publico? Demand for Military Spending Between the World Wars

This article analyzes the demand for military spending in the 1920s and 1930s, based on variables arising from the international system and the selected countries. The main premise is that the military spending was an impure public good, implying that both public and private benefits drove the demand for this type of expenditure. Threats arising from the autocratic states in the 1930s increased these expenditures, and democracies overall tended to spend less. Moreover, the absence of clear international leadership by the USA or UK destabilized the international system and increased military spending, with alliances failing to produce a public good effect. The Large Observatory For x-ray Timing (LOFT) was studied within ESA M3 Cosmic Vision framework and participated in the final down-selection for a launch slot in 2022-2024. Thanks to the unprecedented combination of effective area and spectral resolution of its main instrument, LOFT will study the behaviour of matter under extreme conditions, such as the strong gravitational field in the innermost regions of accretion flows close to black holes and neutron stars, and the supra-nuclear densities in the interior of neutron stars. In the Ouled Abdoun sedimentary basin (Morocco), the phosphatic series is composed of regular interbedded phosphatic and marly limestone layers. Exploitation of the phosphate in some deposits in this basin collides frequently with problems bound to the existence, in the phosphatic series, of disturbed areas (sterile bodies) qualified as derangements by the mining engineers of the Office Cherifian Phosphate Group (OCP). Their presence in the phosphatic layers causes two kinds of problems: (1) since the whole phosphatic sequence is overlain by a Quaternary cover, we do not know their volume proportion in the phosphatic layers, and therefore the reserves estimations can be wrong (2) they are g…
