En este trabajo se analiza la revitalización del euskera en el ámbito familiar, situándola en el contexto general de Euskal Herria y en el particular de cada uno de los territorios del euskera. El análisis va desde la mitad del s. xx hasta la actualidad y considera tanto el marco jurídico como la actuación institucional y la dinámica social, siempre con la mirada puesta en los roles desempeñados durante ese tiempo por la familia. En este artículo abordamos el análisis de la evolución reciente del gallego en el ámbito familiar. En concreto, nos interesan los procesos de producción, reproducción y no reproducción de la lengua y sus consecuencias en la actual situación de substitución lingüística. En el periodo que va desde 1992 a 2008, la distribución de la lengua inicial se ha visto sensiblemente modificada, sobre todo por la penetración del español en la mayor parte de las familias. L’article vol ser una primera aproximació als usos actuals de la partícula catalana idò. Àmpliament utilitzada en la parla col·loquial i espontània de les Illes Balears, la partícula parteix d’usos comuns amb el seu originari doncs (fr. donc, it. dunque), però ha anat prenent altres valors, tot i mantenir una notable simetria. Al costat de valors consecutius i de marcador discursiu pot funcionar com a element interrogatiu i interjecció. Com sovint s’esdevé amb certes partícules, idò pren valors lligats a l’entonació, que permetrà destriar retolacions i significats.

The last ten years have witnessed a growing interest in the acquisition of third languages (L3s). Due to their sociolinguistic characteristics, Catalonia and the Basque Country are at the forefront in production of published empirical research in L3 acquisition. This article provides a review of research in L3 acquisition and argues that this research is worthwhile for practical and theoretical reasons. L3 acquisition studies can inform decisions regarding appropriate timing and procedures to incorporate foreign languages (L3s) in the bilingual curriculum, and they can shed light on important theoretical issues, such as the role of experience in language processing and the role of transfer …
Lexicografia i correcció: la funció dels diccionaris en la revisió de textos

The aim of this paper is an attempt to revise the role of dictionaries in professional text supervising processes. Under the frame of text linguistics, we first explain how correction tasks are conditioned by text typology. Next, we study the macro structure of dictionaries (in order to consider what kind of lexicographical works are closer to the corrector needs) and then we study their micro structure (in order to set up what kind of information might be relevant for correction tasks). In conclusion, we finally State some lacks of current dictionaries for correction purposes, and we settle some aspects of text revision which are not expected to be solved with dictionary consultation.
Les glosses de Guillem Nicolau a la seva traducció de les 'Heroides' d'Ovidi (1390) : una proposta d'identificació

According to a letter written in 1390, Guillem Nicolau attached a full commentary to his Catalan translation of Ovid’s Heroides. Although these glosses have not survived in any of the extant manuscripts of this translation, they have been preserved in a fifteenth-century manuscript containing an anonymous Castilian version of the Catalan text. In this article, the linguistic- and literary-based identification of these Castilian glosses with those written by Nicolau leads to a further examination of the relationship of the Catalan Heroides to the Latin commentary tradition. Reflexions sobre la categorització del «Cançoner satírich valencià» de Miquel i Planas

This article identifies the ambitions and literary motifs of the various works in the «Cançoner» and questions the concept of “satire” for defining them as a whole. Considering the transgressions contained in it as a literary product with no subversive aim clears the way for viewing it as a set of cleverly combined elements of satire, parody and burlesque, following on from compositions like the «Col·loqui de dames» (Ladies’ Dialogue), and allowing different parodical readings from amorous and Boccaccian points of view.

It can be shown that the semantic specialization of idioms is a matter of degree, and that semantic interpretation is not just a question of bottom-up compositionality or literal-to-figurative transfer: the reinterpretation processes that can be observed in idioms point to the existence of top-down and figurative-to-literal interpretations.
