The expression of additivity in the Alps: German auch, Italian anche and their counterparts in Gardenese Ladin
2019
Additive particles (e.g. English also) usually operate on a constituent (‘domain of association’) signaling that it has to be added to a list of items already introduced in the context or inferable. In addition, they can also exhibit a more grammatical function acting as a focused constituent itself or a modal particle. In the present contribution, we aim to provide a classification of the usage patterns and main grammatical functions of the additive item also in the standard languages spoken in the alpine region of Trentino-South Tyrol, i.e. German (auch) and Italian (anche) and in a regional language, Gardenese Ladin (belonging to the Rhaeto-romance group), which displays two forms: nce a…
Family members' satisfaction with care and decision-making in intensive care units and post-stay follow-up needs-a cross-sectional survey study.
2016
Aim The aim of this study was to explore family members' satisfaction with care and decision-making during the intensive care units stay and their follow-up needs after the patient's discharge or death. Design A cross-sectional survey study was conducted. Methods Family members of patients recently treated in an ICU were participating. The questionnaire contented of background variables, the instrument Family Satisfaction in ICU (FS-ICU 24) and questions about follow-up needs. Descriptive and non-parametric statistics and a multiple linear regression were used in the analysis. Results A total of 123 (47%) relatives returned the questionnaire. Satisfaction with care was higher scored than sa…
Viscoelastic properties of acid milk gel as affected by fat nature at low level
2005
International audience; The viscoelastic properties of acid milk gels containing small amounts of different fats were investigated. Skim milk was reconstituted from ultra low-heat skim milk powder and emulsions made with 2% (v/v) sunflower oil, olive oil, groundnut oil, or anhydrous milk fat using a pressure homogenizer. Acidification at 20 °C for 14 h to pH ∼4.6 was achieved by adding glucono-δ-lactone to the emulsion. Stress relaxation testing enabled determination of the firmness and the solid-like properties, i.e., elasticity. Regardless of the physical state of the fat, emulsion gels exhibited higher firmness than fat-free gels, despite the low fat level used. The firmness of the gels …
La gestión en educación física. Dos modelos de gestión, el mismo individuo
2020
In the development of this writing, we intend to critically analyze the idea of management in Physical Education and problematize it with the issues of inclusion and inequality. To do this, first there is a brief etymological review of the concept of management, and then we analyze how Physical Education links management to economic and business Sciences. The analysis material used are books, manuals and articles on Physical Education management. From the analysis of this material, the second point of the work arises to explain two management models in Physical Education that we call: individual management and self-management. These models are presented as different and opposite, but in the…
Stellar populations of galaxies in the ALHAMBRA survey up toz ∼ 1
2018
Aims. We aim at constraining the stellar population properties of quiescent galaxies. These properties reveal how these galaxies evolved and assembled since z similar to 1 up to the present time. Methods. Combining the ALHAMBRA multi-filter photo-spectra with the fitting code for spectral energy distribution MUFFIT (MUlti-Filter FITting), we built a complete catalogue of quiescent galaxies via the dust-corrected stellar mass vs. colour diagram. This catalogue includes stellar population properties, such as age, metallicity, extinction, stellar mass, and photometric redshift, retrieved from the analysis of composited populations based on two independent sets of simple stellar population (SSP…

Solar neutrino physics with Borexino
2018
We present the most recent solar neutrino results from the Borexino experiment at the Gran Sasso underground laboratory. In particular, refined measurements of all neutrinos produced in the {\it pp} fusion chain have been made. It is the first time that the same detector measures the entire range of solar neutrinos at once. These new data weakly favor a high-metallicity Sun. Prospects for measuring CNO solar neutrinos are also discussed.

High-energy monitoring of NGC 4593 II. Broad-band spectral analysis: testing the two-corona model
2019
It is widely believed that the primary X-ray emission of AGN is due to the Comptonisation of optical-UV photons from a hot electron corona, while the origin of the 'soft-excess' is still uncertain and matter of debate. A second Comptonisation component, called warm corona, was therefore proposed to account for the soft-excess, and found in agreement with the optical-UV to X-ray emission of a sample of Seyfert galaxies. In this context, we exploit the broadband XMM-Newton and NuSTAR simultaneous observations of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 4593 to further test the so called "two corona model". The NGC 4593 spectra are well reproduced by the model, from the optical/UV to the hard X-rays. Moreover, …
