Tämän kirjoituksen tarkoitus on esittää joitakin huomioita ja esimerkkejä sosiaalisen pääoman mahdollisista kielteisistä seurauksista. En syvenny laajasti sosiaalisen pääoman määrittelykysymyksiin. Lähtökohtaisesti otan kuitenkin sen kannan, että sosiaalisen pääoman lähteet (verkostot, instituutiot jne.) voivat tuottaa myös kielteisiä seurauksia. Usein sosiaalista pääomaa on lähestytty erilaisten ruusuisten kehien ja myönteisten funktioiden kautta. Although different studies have investigated career choices as cognitive acts of decision-making, non-cognitive components also play an important role. The study tries to develop an empirically based model of career decision-making process linking cognitive (search for work self-efficacy - SWSE) and non-cognitive (psychological well-being - PWB) components. In particular, the study investigates, among 148 never-employed Italian young adults, to what extent the relationship between SWSE and career indecision in terms of lack of readiness (LoR) can be explained by their common relationship with PWB. The relationship between social anxiety and cannabis use among adolescents and young adults is a highly debated topic. In this cross-sectional study, we tested whether cannabis use expectancies mediated the association between social anxiety and cannabis use severity in a sample of 343 young adults (74.3% male) who used cannabis. They completed self-report measures for the screening of problematic cannabis use (Cannabis Use Problems Identification Test) and social anxiety symptoms (Social Interaction Anxiety Scale and Social Phobia Scale).
