Ohjelmistokehityksen muutos ja sen vaikutus ohjelmistoprojektin johtamiseen
2015
Beware of contagion!
2003
Landscape ecology starts from the assumption that diversity and spatial arrangement of ecosystem mosaics has ecological implications and tries to understand the interactions between diversity and structure of large spatially heterogeneous areas and its ecological functions. This approach implies effective use of earth observation techniques and geographic information systems, enabling a global view of the landscape mosaics. Consequently, a large number of indices has been used to quantify the structure of categorical maps as a surrogate of actual landscapes and correlate them to ecological processes. In particular, the entropy-based contagion index has been extensively used to summarize the…

Effects of aging and training on sprint performance, muscle structure and contractile function in athletes
2009
Cross-sectional studies were conducted to examine sprint running, anaerobic energy production and muscle properties in male sprinters aged 17-88 years. In addition, a 20-week training intervention was carried out to determine whether older runners can further improve their neuromuscular and performance characteristics by a greater emphasis on strength training. With age, sprint performance declined gradually (5-6%/decade). The slowing of maximum speed was characterized by a reduction in stride length and an increase in contact time along with lower ground reaction forces (GRF) and smaller leg and vertical stiffness during the contact phase. Stride frequency showed small decline while swing …
When nerves hit : The effect of trait anxiety, situational stress, and task mastery on the perception and interpersonal accuracy of musical expressiv…

Publisher Copyright: Copyright © 2023 Chang-Arana, Mavrolampados, Pokki and Thompson. Music performance anxiety (MPA) is a prevalent phenomenon with potentially serious consequences to a musician’s wellbeing and professional career. Yet, MPA does not always affect performance quality. It is hypothesized that trait anxiety, situational stress, and task mastery can exacerbate the effects of MPA and affect performance quality. Furthermore, it is unclear whether these effects are noticeable to both listeners and performing musicians. We measure performance quality as the expressiveness scores assigned by musicians and listeners to a set of pre-recorded performances. We selected three pianists w…

Sliding mode exponential H<inf>∞</inf> synchronization of Markovian jumping master-slave systems with time-delays and nonlinea…
2011
This paper investigates the problem of exponential H ∞ synchronization for a class of master-slave systems with both discrete and distributed time-delays, norm-bounded nonlinear uncertainties and Markovian switching parameters. Using an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions and a synchronization law which include the master-slave parameters are established for designing a delay-dependent mode-dependent sliding mode exponential H ∞ synchronization control law in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The controller guarantees the H ∞ synchronization of the two coupled master and slave systems regardless of their initial states. A numerical examp…
Nestriktās ekvivalences nestriktās klasterizācijas algoritmā
2022
Desarrollo de modelos experimentales de LGMDD2 y rastreo de fármacos
2023
