In this paper we provide a review of chemical and isotopic data gathered over the last three decades on Etna volcano's fluid emissions and we present a synthetic framework of their spatial and temporal relationships with the volcano-tectonic structures, groundwater circulation and eruptive activity. We show that the chemistry, intensity and spatial distribution of gas exhalations are strongly controlled by the main volcano-tectonic fault systems. The emission of mantle-derived magmatic volatiles, supplied by deep to shallow degassing of alkali-hawaiitic basalts, persistently occurs through the central conduits, producing a huge volcanic plume. W roku 1808 zostały sporządzone inwentarze, m.in. „Realności klasztoru bazyliańskiego werchrackiego”, dzięki którym można w przybliżeniu ocenić jego sytuację materialną. Dokumenty te są obecnie częścią zasobu Centralnego Państwowego Archiwum Historycznego Ukrainy we Lwowie. Klasztor należał wówczas do diecezji przemyskiej, dekanatu potylickiego i cyrkułu żółkiewskiego. Przyczyną podjęcia pracy nad inwentarzem była planowana konfiskata mienia werchrackich bazylianów. Okazało się jednak, że z powodu zaniedbania kasata została odsunięta w czasie, a dostępne dzisiaj regestry nie były pierwszą próbą dokonania spisu dóbr należących do bazylianów w tym trudnym okresie. A New Framework for the Extraction of Contour Lines in Scanned Topographic Maps

3D simulations requested in various applications had led to the development of fast and accurate terrain topography measurement techniques. In this paper, we are presenting a novel framework dedicated to the semiautomatic processing of scanned maps, extracting the contour lines vectors and building a digital elevation model on their basis, fulfilled by a number of stages discussed in detail throughout the work. Despite the good results obtained on a large amount of scanned maps, a completely automatic map processing technique is unrealistic and remains an open problem.

The unpublished correspondence between Leonardo Sciascia and Piero Guccione from 1975 to 1989 shows the profound charge of humanity that innervates the friendship between these two great Enlightenment leaders "upside down". A "correspondence of amorous senses", despite the inevitable ideological differences, which the letters reproduced here for the first time and the original contributions of the volume give us back, under the banner of the binomial "beauty-truth".

Zemes kadastru sāka ar zemes uzmērīšanu un vērtēšanu, vienlaikus veicot muižu redukciju, atsavinot lielāko daļu muižas zemju, kuras nodeva Zviedrijas valsts pārziņā. Tas bija labi izstrādāts kadastrs, un to izmantoja no 1691. līdz 1911. gadam, t. i., 220 gadus. The coffee-house: Upcycling spent coffee grounds for the production of green geopolymeric architectural energy-saving products

This study investigates a possible alternative reuse of spent coffee grounds (SCG), the major residue of the brewing process, to manufacture green geopolymeric materials for innovative building applications in energy-saving construction, in line with the European Green Deal towards zero-energy building. Specimens were prepared by a combination of biomass fly ash from the Kraft paper-pulp process, as raw material (70 wt%), and SCG (up to 17.5 %), as filler. The high amount of reused bio-wastes makes the material fit the requirements for the Minimum Environmental Criteria (MEC) certification, in light of the Circular Economy (CE) approach. The use of essential oils as chemotaxonomic markers could be useful for the classification of Artemisia species and to caracterize biodiversity in the different populations. An analysis of the chemical composition of four essential oils from Italian populations of Artemisia alba Turra (collected in Sicily, Marche and Abruzzo) was investigated. In this paper an in depth study of the significant differences observed in the composition of these oils is reported.
