International audience; How the Messinian Salinity Crisis (MSC) ended is still a matter of intense debate. The Terminal Carbonate Complex (TCC) is a late Messinian carbonate platform system that recorded western Mediterranean hydrological changes from the final stages of evaporite deposition till the advent of Lago-Mare fresh- to brackish water conditions at the very end of Messinian times. Mitochondria play a key role in maintaining cellular metabolic homeostasis. These organelles have a high plasticity and are involved in dynamic processes such as mitochondrial fusion and fission, mitophagy and mitochondrial biogenesis. Type 2 diabetes is characterised by mitochondrial dysfunction, high production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and low levels of ATP. In this study, the Pietra di Billiemi, a famous dimension stone, is investigated because it records the tectonic evolution of the south Tethys continental margin and preserves a record of major environmental changes occurring near the Triassic/Jurassic boundary. The Pietra di Billiemi is a grey, coarse-grained and clast-supported limestone breccia cropping out in an area of the Palermo Mountains representing a segment of the Apennine–Maghrebian chain in western Sicily. mtDNS mutāciju izraisīti traucējumi mitohondriju OXPHOS sistēmā var būt cēlonis smagām mitohondriālajām slimībām. Mitohondriālo slimību diagnostika ir komplicēta. Darba “Mitohondriālo saslimšanu molekulāro un bioķīmisko diagnostikas metožu izstrāde un pielietošana” mērķis bija ieviest klīniskajā praksē molekulārās un bioķīmiskās metodes mitohondriālo slimību diagnostikai, izmantojot perifērās asinis. Tika veikta mtDNS sekvenēšana, heteroplazmijas analīze, elpošanas ķēdes kompleksa I aktivitātes, ATF daudzuma un ADF/ATF attiecības noteikšana perifērajos leikocītos. Abstract This paper describes the core features and the multi-agent architecture of AMUSE (Agent-based Multi-User Social Environment), a novel agent-based platform for social gaming. AMUSE is designed to offer game developers readymade solutions to many issues that are common to social games like, e.g., advanced management of matches, turns and players.
