Overview of HVCMOS pixel sensors
2015
High voltage CMOS (HVCMOS) sensors are presently considered for the use in Mu3e experiment, ATLAS and CLIC. These sensors can be implemented in commercial HVCMOS processes. HVCMOS sensors feature fast charge collection by drift and high radiation tolerance. The sensor element is an n-well/p-type diode. This proceeding-paper gives an overview of HVCMOS projects and the recent results.
Observation of a NewχbState in Radiative Transitions toΥ(1S)andΥ(2S)at ATLAS
2012
The χb(nP) quarkonium states are produced in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider at √s=7 TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector. Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.4 fb-1, these states are reconstructed through their radiative decays to Υ(1S,2S) with Υ→μ+μ-. In addition to the mass peaks corresponding to the decay modes χb(1P,2P)→Υ(1S)γ, a new structure centered at a mass of 10.530±0.005(stat)±0.009(syst) GeV is also observed, in both the Υ(1S)γ and Υ(2S)γ decay modes. This structure is interpreted as the χb(3P) system.
Measurement of the cross section for the production of a W boson in association with b-jets in pp collisions at s=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector
2012
A measurement is presented of the cross section for the production of a W boson with one or two jets, of which at least one must be a b-jet, in pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV. Production via top d ...
Measurement of the inclusive isolated prompt photon cross-section in pp collisions at s=7 TeV using 35 pb−1 of ATLAS data
2011
A measurement of the differential cross-section for the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 7 TeV is presented. The measurement cove ...
Study of the hard double-parton scattering contribution to inclusive four-lepton production in pp collisions at s=8 TeV with the ATLAS detector
2019
The inclusive production of four isolated charged leptons in pp collisions is analysed for the presence of hard double-parton scattering, using 20.2 fb(-1) of data recorded in the ATLAS detector at ...
Search for pair-produced heavy quarks decaying toWqin the two-lepton channel at(s)=7 TeVwith the ATLAS detector
2012
A search is presented for heavy-quark pair production (Q (Q) over bar) under the decay hypothesis Q (Q) over bar -> W(+)qW(-)(q) over bar with q = d, s, b for up-type Q or q = u, c for down-type ...
Measurement of the tt¯ production cross section in the τ+jets final state in pp collisions at s=8 TeV using the ATLAS detector
2017
A measurement of the inclusive pp -> t (t) over bar + X production cross section in the tau + jets final state using only the hadronic decays of the tau lepton is presented. The measurement is p ...
Forward-central two-particle correlations in p–Pb collisions at sNN=5.02 TeV
2016
Two-particle angular correlations between trigger particles in the forward pseudorapidity range (2.5 < |η| < 4.0) and associated particles in the cen
Search for third generation scalar leptoquarks in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector
2013
A search for pair-produced third generation scalar leptoquarks is presented, using proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV at the LHC. The data were recorded with the ATLAS detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb[superscript −1]. Each leptoquark is assumed to decay to a tau lepton and a b-quark with a branching fraction equal to 100%. No statistically significant excess above the Standard Model expectation is observed. Third generation leptoquarks are therefore excluded at 95% confidence level for masses less than 534 GeV.
