Efficient transfer of positrons from a buffer-gas-cooled accumulator into an orthogonally oriented superconducting solenoid for antihydrogen studies

Positrons accumulated in a room-temperature buffer-gas-cooled positron accumulator are efficiently transferred into a superconducting solenoid which houses the ATRAP cryogenic Penning trap used in antihydrogen research. The positrons are guided along a 9 m long magnetic guide that connects the central field lines of the 0.15 T field in the positron accumulator to the central magnetic field lines of the superconducting solenoid. Seventy independently controllable electromagnets are required to overcome the fringing field of the large-bore superconducting solenoid. Oral chemotherapy presents a number of theoretical advantages in older cancer patients, including convenience of administration and dosage flexibility. Of the oral fluorinated pyrimidines, capecitabine is the most promising, because it minimizes the exposure of normal tissue to the active drug and substantially reduces the risk of mucositis, that is particularly common and severe in the aged. In this paper the author intends to analyze the concept of ‘waiting time’ that, in a different way, also seen the substantial artistic diversity, is present in the film Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, 2007, based on the namesake graphic novel written by the French-Iranian director in 2000, and in the novel Landschaften einer fernen Mutter written by the German-Iranian author SAID, 2001. The analysis that is conducted here wants to investigate how both, in the film and in the literary work, the ‘waiting time’ for the exile takes on totally personal connotations, becoming also not only part of the life of Satrapi and SAID, but above all a state of mind.

In contemporary societies we are witnessing an expansion of the messages of human capital. These messages have as their central dimension idea of the self-entrepreneur, which implies a deepening in the logic of activation, while blurring the wage relations. In this scenario, young people with university degrees are becoming a favourite target in the offensive of human capital. The penetration of these human capital messages can be seen in the discourses of young university students who have been forced to leave the country during the crisis.
