Electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) strongly relies on a priori assumptions and additional information to overcome ill-posedness. The major challenge of obtaining good reconstructions consists in finding ways to add information that effectively restricts the solution space without violating properties of the sought solution. Distribution and biology of the Blackmouth catshark Galeus melastomus in the Strait of Sicily (Central Mediterranean Sea)

The Blackmouth catshark, Galeus melastomus, Rafinesque, 1810 (Carcharhiniformes; Scyliorhinidae), is a common, although at present discarded, by- catch of the bottom trawl fisheries in the Strait of Sicily. Given its ecological interest, data gathered in experimental bottom trawl surveys were analysed in order to describe its distribution and main biological traits. The Blackmouth catshark was sampled almost exclusively on the upper slope (200-800), showing the highest frequency of occurrence (69-100%), biomass (BI; 10-85 kg*km-2) and density (DI; 54-506 N*km-2) indexes in the deeper (501-800m) grounds. We consider the construction of leadership influence involving manipulation and from narrative standpoint. We use the career of Adolf Hitler as an empirical example - as a case - illustrating the huge, and potentially destructive, power of story-telling. Hitler is used as an illustrative case for how storytelling is involved in constructing great leadership influence – and with a view to making sense of such a leader’s story. Diplomdarba mērķis ir noskaidrot kā ledlauži mācību stundas ierosināšanas fāzē ietekmē 5. klases skolēnu emocionālo klimatu. Šajā diplomdarbā tika apskatīti 6 ledlauži, kas tika pielietoti Baldones skolas 5. klases mācību stundās, lai noskaidrotu, kā šie ledlauži ietekmē klases emocionālo klimatu. Pētījumā piedalījās Baldones skolas 5. klases 28 skolēni un 10 skolotāji. Kā pētījuma metodes tika izmantota novērošana (pētījumam saistībā ar skolēniem) un anketēšana (skolotājiem). Pētījuma norises laiks bija no 22. marta līdz 8. maijam. Šī perioda laikā 1 reizi nedēļā vienā mācību blokstundā tika izmantots viens ledlauzis, pēc kura veikšanas darba autore veica novērojumu fiksēšanu protokolā. Sk…

Autore izstrādātajā bakalaura darbā ir pētījusi legāta institūtu mantojuma tiesībās, analizējusi tā izpratni vēsturiskajā tvērumā un salīdzinājusi to ar mūsdienu tvērumu, tādējādi veicinot izpratni par legāta institūtu mantojuma tiesībās. Pētījuma gaitā tika analizēta Civillikuma Mantojuma tiesību daļa, kas attiecas uz legātiem, gan arī citiem tiesību institūtiem, kas ietekmē legāta tiesisko stāvokli. Pētījuma rezultātā darba autore ir nonākusi pie dažādiem secinājumiem, analizējusi būtiskās problēmas legāta institūtā, kā arī analizējusi autores ieskatā visinteresantāko no iespējamajiem legāta priekšmetiem, proti, vai nekustamais īpašums var būt legāta priekšmets.

A systematic literature review of the transition to the circular economy in business organizations: Obstacles, catalysts and ambivalences

There is a need for a transition from unsustainable linear business models to a more sustainable circular approach, called the circular economy. To promote this need, a deeper understanding of which issues hinder organizations’ transition to the circular economy and which ones catalyse it is needed.
