ABSTRACT An extreme case of a six victim, 38-year-old recidivist sex offender was selected for examining the isomorphic relationships between child sexual abuse trauma and adult sex offenses. This sex offender had victimized children of both sexes and an adult woman. Life history, letter, file, and the Adult Attachment Interview information were analyzed to seek the relations between childhood abuse experiences and adult offending. Both subjective reports and file data revealed that the man had experienced severe physical, psychological, and sexual abuse in childhood. A group member’s attachment, anxiety, and avoidance is related to how the group member and the other group members (OGMs) perceive group relationships. In addition, the collective attachment strategies of the OGMs may also be related to how the individual group member and the others perceive the relationships in the group. Tearful crying is a ubiquitous and likely uniquely human phenomenon. Scholars have argued that emotional tears serve an attachment function: Tears are thought to act as a social glue by evoking social support intentions. Initial experimental studies supported this proposition across several methodologies, but these were conducted almost exclusively on participants from North America and Europe, resulting in limited generalizability. Honeypot Utilization for Network Intrusion Detection

For research purposes, a honeypot is a system that enables observing attacker’s actions in different phases of a cyberattack. In this study, a honeypot called Kippo was used to identify attack behavior in Finland. The gathered data consisted of dictionary attack login attempts, attacker location, and actions after successful login. From the data, attacker behavior was analyzed. Differentiating bots from human actors, linking scanning activity to further attack steps, and identifying malware and tracking malware sites were all done. An analytical model of a new packet marking algorithm for TCP flows

In Differentiated Services networks, packets may receive a different treatment according to their Differentiateo Services Code Point (DSCP) label. As a consequence, packet marking schemes can also be devised to differentiate packets belonging to a same TCP flow, with the goal of improving the performance experienced. This paper presents an analytical model for an adaptive packet marking scheme proposed in our previous work. The model combines three specific sub-models aimed at describing (i) the TCP sources aggregate, (ii) the marker, and (iii) the network status.
