Recently, this enzyme has become of extreme interest during the pandemic infection of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019). This virus invades alveolar epithelium and cardiomyocytes using ACE2 as a transmembrane receptor. ACE2 is a counter-regulatory peptide that degrades Ang II into Ang 1-7, thereby attenuating the biological effects of the AT1 receptor. Excimer laser atherectomy in an uncrossable long chronic total occlusion through the subintimal space

We present a successfully chronic total occlusions (CTO) coronary recanalisation with the subadventitial space by excimer laser atherectomy (ELCA) adjunctive therapy. Angiogram revealed non-significant diffuse disease of the left coronary system with a complex long proximal right coronary artery (RCA) CTO (J-CTO score 4) and collaterals (Rentrop Grade 2 and Werner classification CC1) from the septal branches (Figure 1, Panel A). CTO PCI of the RCA was then indicated and planned. Initially, antegrade approach and a retrograde approach technique were attempted without success. Darbs satur teorētisku dažādu ražotāju rīku apskati un salīdzinājumu, kā arī praktisko daļu, kurā tiek analizētas datu savienošanas iespējas hibrīdā datu noliktavā. Par hibrīdo datu noliktavu tiek uzskatīta tāda datu noliktava, kurā daļa datu atrodas RDBMS sistēmā un daļa datu HDFS sistēmā. Darba galvenie mērķi ir analizēt šāda veida sistēmas veiktspēju, izmantojot dažādus datu apvienošanas veidus. Maxillary bone necrosis following the use of bisphosphonates in patients with cancer: management and case series

Bisphosphonates are bone-turnover modulating drugs used to treat various diseases such as certain cancers, bone metastasis, bone- and calcium-related disorders, Paget`s disease, osteoporosis and osteopenia. Recently, several preliminary reports have reported the insurgence of osteonecrosis of the mandible and/or maxilla, associated with intravenously administered bisphosphonates. This case series describes the effects of bisphosphonates used in the treatment of certain cancers on oral bone tissues.
