Effect of oil lamination between plasticized starch layers on film properties

International audience; To reduce the hygroscopic character of biodegradable starch-based films, rapeseed oil was incorporated by lamination (starch-oil-starch 3-layers technique). The lipid lamination followed by starch solution casting step induced an emulsion type structure of dried films. Composite films are more opalescent and glossier than fatty free starch films. For all the films, structure is heterogeneous in the cross-section only. Adding fat induced a twice decrease of the tensile strength. Thermal gravimetry analysis did not show differences between films with and without oil. Lipid reduced the moisture absorption particularly at higher RH as well as the surface swelling index, …

Artykuł analizuje znaczenie słowa geniusz w wyrażeniu geniusz kobiecy/kobiety, które wprowadził papież Jan Paweł II do dyskursu Kościoła katolickiego na temat płci. Badania pokazują, że to nowe użycie słowa geniusz bazuje na jego już istniejących znaczeniach, ale nie jest z nimi tożsame. Znaczenie rozumiane jest szeroko – jako zespół sądów o różnym statusie, mający charakter podmiotowy (związany z czyjąś koncepcją) i dyskursowy (włączony w „porządek” danego dyskursu, w tym wypadku – dyskursu katolickiego). Towards gender awareness in couple therapy and in treatment of intimate partner violence

Gender is the most pervasive classification of individuals and thus strongly defines couple relationships. Cultural discourses on couple relationships reproduce hierarchical gender differences, and couple distress is often linked to gendered power inequalities. At worst, gender is the basis for intimate partner violence (IPV). Generally, however, therapeutic interventions do not address the issues of gender and gendered power. This paper discusses the meaning and functions of gender in the context of couple therapy, in particular for IPV.
