The VAST (valorisation of history and landscape) project (http://vast.fbk.eu/) was part of the initiatives promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento (Italy) for the commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the First World War (WWI) outbreak. The project was primarily aimed to document and promote, through 3D digitization approaches and communication material, the memory of sites, theatre of the world conflict. Social–emotional competence (SEC) is a set of psychological resources, highly relevant for adaptive growth and wellbeing. Music has been argued to support social–emotional skills, yet there is little theoretical consensus about the underlying impact mechanisms and the special nature of music as a medium for SEC. This article presents a theoretical model of music-based SEC that combines research from general SEC models with music-specific literature from music psychology, music education, music therapy, and music for health and wellbeing. Which Factors Modulate Letter Position Coding in Pre-literate Children?

One of the central landmarks of learning to read is the emergence of orthographic processing (i.e., the encoding of letter identity and letter order): it constitutes the necessary link between the low-level stages of visual processing and the higher-level processing of words. Regarding the processing of letter position, many experiments have shown worse performance in various tasks for the transposed-letter pair judge-JUDGE than for the orthographic control jupte-JUDGE. Importantly, 4-y.o. pre-literate children also show letter transposition effects in a same-different task: TZ-ZT is more error-prone than TZ-PH. Learning to live involves acquiring many skills, for which in some cases there is a natural predisposition, but which always require a "guided" exercise in real life contexts so that the person acquires the skills necessary to "live properly". The research was conducted with a group of 153 students from the Master of Science in Primary Education, who participated in a two-year training project during the academic years 2020-21 and 2021-22. This article describes whether and to what extent the students believe they have developed the four chosen life skills and which of the training methodologies adopted by the lecturers were most effective.

The article presents the results of studies aimed at evaluating the level of lexicological and lexical competence of middle school students, and the results of a study of school determinants of this competence assessed through surveys, interviews and in‑class observation. The level of lexicological competence was evaluated as good, whereas the textual examination revealed lexical competence to be lower and more varied.
