Varhaiskasvatuksen monikielisyyttä on Suomessa tutkittu tähän saakka lähinnä erilaisten paikallisten, yhteen tai muutamaan kieleen keskittyvien kielipainotusohjelmien näkökulmasta. Sen sijaan vielä melko tutkimattomia alueita ovat kielenoppiminen sekä monikielisyyden ja monikielisyyttä tukevien toimintatapojen toteutuminen niissä varhaiskasvatusyksiköissä, joissa ryhmien kielellinen moninaisuus ei ole varhaiskasvatuksen järjestäjien tietoinen valinta. Using Talking Books to Support Early Reading Development

This chapter explores the question of how interactive multimedia talking books can promote young children’s literacy development. Whilst commercially available talking books can motivate young children to read, there is little evidence that they are linked to the development of skills known to promote reading itself. The ‘Bangers and Mash’ talking books (Chera, 2000), were designed to address this issue, and we review studies that evaluated their effectiveness as classroom resources that could promote reading-related skills and abilities. International audience; Context-aware mobile learning is becoming important because of the dynamic and continually changing learning settings in learner's mobile environment, giving rise to many different learning contexts that are difficult to apprehend. To provide personalization of learning content, we aim to develop a recommender system based on semantic modeling of learning contents and learning context. This modeling is complemented by a behavioral part made up of rules and metaheuristics used to optimize the combination of pieces of learning contents according to learner's context. Do SETA Interventions Change Security Behavior? : A Literature Review

Information security education, training, and awareness (SETA) are approaches to changing end-users’ security behavior. Research into SETA has conducted interventions to study the effects of SETA on security behavior. However, we lack aggregated knowledge on ‘how do SETA interventions influence security behavior?’. This study reviews 21 empirical SETA intervention studies published across the top IS journals. Interoceptīvās izpratnes saistība ar sociālo trauksmi

Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot vai starp sociālo trauksmi un interoceptīvo izpratni pastāv pozitīvas saistības. Lai to noskaidrotu, pētījumā piedalījās 156 dalībnieki vecumā no 18 līdz 60 gadiem (M = 29.06; SD = 10,29) no kuriem sievietes n = 129 (82.7%) un vīrieši n = 27 (17.3%), kas aizpildīja divas anketas – Sociālās trauksmes anketu un Interoceptīvās izpratnes daudzdimensionālās novērtēšanas anketu. Pētījuma rezultātos hipotēze neapstiprinājās un tika atklāts, ka starp interoceptīvo izpratni un sociālo trauksmi pastāv daļējas, statistiski nozīmīgas, negatīvas saistības. Papildus tam, tika atklāts, ka interoceptīvā izpratne kopā ar vecumu iespējams var izskaidrot lielu daļu sociālās trauk…
