Factorization of strongly (p,sigma)-continuous multilinear operators

We introduce the new ideal of strongly-continuous linear operators in order to study the adjoints of the -absolutely continuous linear operators. Starting from this ideal we build a new multi-ideal by using the composition method. We prove the corresponding Pietsch domination theorem and we present a representation of this multi-ideal by a tensor norm. A factorization theorem characterizing the corresponding multi-ideal - which is also new for the linear case - is given. When applied to the case of the Cohen strongly -summing operators, this result gives also a new factorization theorem.
Operator martingale decomposition and the Radon-Nikodym property in Banach spaces

Abstract We consider submartingales and uniform amarts of maps acting between a Banach lattice and a Banach lattice or a Banach space. In this measure-free setting of martingale theory, it is known that a Banach space Y has the Radon–Nikodým property if and only if every uniformly norm bounded martingale defined on the Chaney–Schaefer l-tensor product E ⊗ ˜ l Y , where E is a suitable Banach lattice, is norm convergent. We present applications of this result. Firstly, an analogues characterization for Banach lattices Y with the Radon–Nikodým property is given in terms of a suitable set of submartingales (supermartingales) on E ⊗ ˜ l Y . Uzņēmumi savās mājas lapās var izmantot ar dabas aizsardzību (DA) saistītus terminus, lai sabiedrība tos uztvertu noteiktā veidā. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt DA terminu lietojumu desmit izvēlētu uzņēmumu mājas lapu tekstos, kas ņemti no piecām dažādām nozarēm. Galvenās pētījuma metodes ir literatūras apskats, absolūtā biežuma analīze un diskursa analīze. Dati parāda, ka automašīnu ražotāji savās mājaslapās izmanto visvairāk DA terminu, savukārt apģērbu firmas izmanto vismazāk DA terminu. Lielākā daļa atrasto DA terminu ir lietvārdi. Tiek secināts, ka uzņēmumus, kas savās mājaslapās lielākoties izmanto DA terminus no „vides risinājumu” kategorijas, var uztvert kā dabai draudzīgākus…

The accumulation of heavy metals and trace elements has been investigated in a well laminated sequence of Holocene and late Pleistocene lake sediments composed of diatomaceous gyttja, tuff and silt and clay sediments. Varve chronology of the annually deposited gyttja yielded a continuous high-resolution time sequence and allowed the absolute age dating of the sediment. Fluxes of elements remained largely uniform from the late Pleistocene into the Holocene. Higher trace element and heavy metal fluxes occur from 2322 to 862 VT years ago (VT: varve time, years before 1950) and reached their maxima in the uppermost sediments (<845 VT years ago). Objectives: Noise-induced hearing loss can be caused, among other causes, by increased nitric oxide (NO) production in the inner ear leading to nitroactive stress and cell destruction. Some studies in the literature suggest that the degree of hearing loss (HL) could be reduced in an animal model through ascorbic acid supplementation. Based on large-scale reconnaissance mapping, we identified two calc-alkaline plutonic assemblages from the northern Qinling orogenic belt. central China. The older assemblage of intrusions. closely associated and deformed coevally with their host volcanic arc sequences, seems to represent the fractionation product of basaltic arc magma. It therefore predates the collision of the North China Block with the Central Qinling island-arc system that developed in a SW Pacific-type oceanic domain south of the North China Block. In this paper, we apply Devroye inequality to study various statistical estimators and fluctuations of observables for processes. Most of these observables are suggested by dynamical systems. These applications concern the co-variance function, the integrated periodogram, the correlation dimension, the kernel density estimator, the speed of convergence of empirical measure, the shadowing property and the almost-sure central limit theorem. Abstract The relationships between an index of the NINO3.4 region and the wintertime sea level pressure (hereafter SLP) anomalies on the extratropical North Atlantic and the bordering areas (100°W–50°E; 30°–70°N) are studied for 1873–1996. This study emphasizes the need of a careful pooling of months and the multi-decadal variability of the ENSO/LNSO influence on the extratropical North Atlantic. The factors contributing to the development of absolute pitch (AP) are still not fully understood. It seems to be neither completely inherited nor completely teachable. This study tested the hypothesis, that individual differences in cognitive style influence AP development. Specifically, it investigated whether adult AP possessors can be characterized by a field independent cognitive style while handling visual and musical tasks. Thirty professional musicians performed tests of absolute and relative pitch abilities, a visual and a musical task measuring field independence, and visual tasks measuring intellectual functioning.
