Sensitivity analysis of Gaussian processes for oceanic chlorophyll prediction

Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) for machine learning has lately been successfully introduced for chlorophyll content mapping from remotely sensed data. The method provides a fast, stable and accurate prediction of biophysical parameters. However, since GPR is a non-linear kernel regression method, the relevance of the features are not accessible. In this paper, we introduce a probabilistic approach for feature sensitivity analysis (SA) of the GPR in order to reveal the relative importance of the features (bands) being used in the regression process. A route to simple nonionic surfactants

AbstractA method for the synthesis of nonionic surfactants – N-alkyl-O-(2-hydroxyethyl) carbamates is proposed by acylation of fatty amines with ethylene carbonate without any solvent or catalyst. The surface tension of the prepared surfactants was measured, toxicity and biodegradability were determined for the surfactant with n-dodecyl as a hydrophobic group and N-monosubstituted amide and hydroxyl groups for their hydrophilic part.

Przedstawiono znaczenie, rozwój metod otrzymywania, kierunki zastosowania i perspektywy rozwoju poliolefin (polietylenu i polipropylenu), materiałów dominujących w światowej produkcji i zużyciu tworzyw sztucznych. Scharakteryzowano oddziaływania tych polimerów na środowisko, kolejno w etapie ich wytwarzania, wykorzystywania i utylizacji odpadów poużytkowych. Scharakteryzowano także kierunki badań prowadzonych w Instytucie Chemii Uniwersytetu Opolskiego w zakresie syntezy, charakterystyki, a przede wszystkim temo- i fotooksydacyjnej degradacji oraz starzenia atmosferycznego poliolefin.

Sin embargo, esta terapia puede dar lugar a hipoperfusión vascular y por tanto aumento de la morbimortalidad. La fluidoterapia intraoperatoria debe ser individualizada para cada paciente, ajustando el aporte o restricción de fluidos a fin de optimizar el gasto cardíaco y evitar lesiones en órganos vitales.
