Bakalaura darba tēma – Pacienta tuvinieku sadarbība ar māsu paliatīvu onkoloģisku pacientu aprūpē. Būtiska problēma Latvijā ir vietu trūkums paliatīvās nodaļās, pacientu skaits ar katru gadu palielinās, pacienti un viņu tuvinieki nesaņem pietiekami daudz informācijas par slimības gaitu un atbalsta iespējām. Tāpat arī trūkst paliatīvās aprūpes speciālistu, gan ārstu, gan māsu, gan arī aprūpes personāla. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää miten perheen demograafiset taustatekijät, kuten perheen perhemuoto, sisarusten olemassa olo, vanhempien koulutustausta ja työtilanne ovat yhteydessä lapsen työskentelytapoihin ja niiden kehitykseen ensimmäisen kouluvuoden aikana. Lisäksi oltiin kiinnostuneita siitä, eroavatko tulokset sukupuolen mukaan. Tutkimus toteutettiin osana Vanhemmat, opettajat ja lasten oppiminen-tutkimusta (VALO; Aunola & Nurmi, 2006-2009). Tutkittavina olivat 152 (79 tyttöä ja 73 poikaa) ensimmäisen luokan oppilasta sekä heidän vanhempansa ja opettajansa kolmen keskisuuren kaupungin alueelta Suomessa. Ultra-High Energy Neutrinos at the Pierre Auger Observatory

The observation of ultrahigh energy neutrinos (UHE nu s) has become a priority in experimental astroparticle physics. UHE nu s can be detected with a variety of techniques. In particular, neutrinos can interact in the atmosphere (downward-going nu) or in the Earth crust (Earth-skimming nu), producing air showers that can be observed with arrays of detectors at the ground. With the surface detector array of the Pierre Auger Observatory we can detect these types of cascades. The distinguishing signature for neutrino events is the presence of very inclined showers produced close to the ground (i.e., after having traversed a large amount of atmosphere). Adaptive Control of Underactuated Underwater Vehicles

This paper deals with a control strategy for underactuated underwater vehicles whose target is trajectory tracking. A cascade approach is employed which brings to a control law consisting of: a) an outer loop, obtained from the vehicle kinematic model, which forces this model to track the reference trajectory; b) an inner adaptive control loop which forces the system to track the reference signals given by the outer control loop. Conditions for asymptotic tracking of the trajectory and boundness of the unactuated velocities are given. Simulation tests illustrate the proposed approach.
