Opactwo klasztoru kanonikow regularnych reguły świętego Augustyna w Żaganiu powstało w 1284 r. w wyniku translacji z opactwa, a przedtem prepozytury ufundowanej przez Henryka Brodatego z Nowogrodu Bobrzańskiego. Początkowo zakonnicy związani z klasztorem NMP na Piasku we Wrocławiu drugiej połowie XII w. uzyskali niezależność od macierzystej jednostki. Niektóre z aspektow działalności kanonikow z Żagania zostało już w historiografii zbadane. Najlepiej poznaną osobą z tego konwentu jest autor kroniki klasztornej Ludolf. New polysaccharide-polyaminoacid hydrogels: a suitable strategy for colon-specific drug delivery

The aim of this study was to prepare and characterize novel hydrogels with polysaccharide–polyaminoacid structure, able to undergo an enzymatic hydrolysis in the colon and potentially useful for treating inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Starting materials were methacrylated dextran (DEX-MA) and methacrylated α,β-poly(N-2-hydroxyethyl)-DL-aspartamide (PHM). These polymers were photocrosslinked by exposure of their aqueous solutions at 313 nm without photoinitiators. Here, the synthesis of two graft copolymers based on α,β-poly(N-2-hydroxyethyl)-D,L-aspartamide (PHEA) and poly(lactic acid) (PLA), the O-(2-aminoethyl)-O′-galactosyl polyethylene glycol (GAL-PEG-NH2) or the methoxypolyethylene glycol amine (H2N-PEG-OCH3) is described. Starting from the obtained PHEA-PLA-PEG-GAL and PHEA-PLA-PEG copolymers, polymeric nanoparticles were prepared by high pressure homogenization–solvent evaporation method.
