Behavioural and pharmacological characterization of a novel cannabimimetic adamantane-derived indole, APICA, in C57BL/6J mice

The novel adamantane derivative APICA (N-(adamtan-1-yl)-1-pentyl-1H-indole-3-carboxamide) was recently identified as a cannabimimetic indole of abuse (1, 2). Despite its novel structure, APICA recalls cannabimimetic indoles, such as representative member JWH-018. The emerging abuse problem, together with the paucity of information about the bioactivity of APICA (3) emphasize the need for further evaluation of the in vivo pharmacology of this novel indole-derived compound. Particolare attenzione è infine riservata alle "Trois Poésies de la Lyrique Japonaise" per voce e piccolo ensemble di Igor Stravinsky (1912).

The role of glia in modulating neuronal network activity is an important question. Oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPC) characteristically express the transmembrane proteoglycan nerve-glia antigen 2 (NG2) and are unique glial cells receiving synaptic input from neurons. The development of NG2+ OPC into myelinating oligodendrocytes has been well studied, yet the retention of a large population of synapse-bearing OPC in the adult brain poses the question as to additional functional roles of OPC in the neuronal network. Dal testo si evince come il progetto voleva riproporre le dimensioni dell’insula del centro storico di Napoli. Gli errori principali appaiono essere l’accentuato isolamento che il quartiere ha subito nel tempo, il rapporto che le costruzioni hanno con l’impianto viario, l’assenza di servizi della vita collettiva. Electrostatically operated micromirrors for a Hadamard transform spectrometer

The paper presents the development of a linear micromirror array which can be used as a switchable entrance mask for a double-array Hadamard transform spectrometer. In addition to the detector array the double-array spectrometer has a linear multi-slit array realised by independently switchable micromirrors at the entrance side. Two different switch positions of the electrostatically operated mirrors allow the reflection of light into or away from the spectrometer. Sortase A Inhibitors: Recent Advances and Future Perspectives

Here, we describe the most promising small synthetic organic compounds that act as potent Sortase A inhibitors and cater the potential to be developed as antivirulence drugs. Sortase A is a polypeptide of 206 amino acids, which catalyzes two sequential reactions: (i) thioesterification and (ii) transpeptidation. Sortase A is involved in the process of bacterial adhesion by anchoring LPXTG-containing proteins to lipid II. Sortase A inhibitors do not affect bacterial growth, but they restrain the virulence of pathogenic bacterial strains, thereby preventing infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus or other Gram-positive bacteria. El objetivo es analizar la hermenéutica filosófica de Hans-Georg Gadamer con vistas a considerar la posibilidad de llevar a cabo una lectura intercultural a partir de sus planteamientos. Se cuestiona la lectura intercultural que de la hermenéutica de Gadamer lleva a cabo Ram Adhar Mall. Con Gadamer, pero más allá de él, se detectan las posibilidades y limitaciones de su concepto humanista de cultura (Bildung) y se ensaya un modo de autosuperación hermenéutica de la cultura en la interculturalidad.
