Multiple sclerosis (MS) patients are often emotionally disturbed. We investigated anger in these patients in relation to demographic, clinical, and mood characteristics.About 195 cognitively unimpaired MS patients (150 relapsing-remitting and 45 progressive) were evaluated with the State Trait Anger Expression Inventory, the Chicago Multiscale Depression Inventory, and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory. In this article, we examine the relationship between corneal and refractive astigmatism (including with the rule, against-the-rule, and oblique astigmatism) in an adult population using power vectors. Methods. Refractive and keratometric measures of astigmatism were conducted on right eyes of 105 white subjects aged 18 to 59 years. We performed a linear regression of refractive astigmatic error on corneal astigmatism, using the J0 and J45 components of the astigmatism. Results. The slopes of hills tend to be greatly overestimated. Previous studies have found that slope estimates are significantly greater when estimated verbally than with a proprioceptive measure. It has yet to be determined whether these estimates are made for the entire extent of the slope, or whether the estimates in closest proximity are estimated using a different process. Since some parietal cortex neurons respond differently to objects within arm's reach, short-distance slope estimation may utilize these or analogous neurons. Introduction: Previous studies have shown that populations differ with respect to interarch tooth-size relationships, and differences in tooth sizes are not systematic. The aims of this study were to determine the Bolton ratios in Spanish subjects. Methods: We used a digital method and measured the casts to the nearest 0.05 mm. The sample consisted of 100 pairs of dental casts of Spanish subjects. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, t test, and 95% confidence intervals were used.
