Sin embargo, dichos estudios no evalúan estas variables con instrumentos de medida estandarizados y grupos de control dentro y fuera del programa. eHealth is one perceived mechanism to extend the range and reach of limited health-care resources for older adults. A decade-scoping review (2007–2017) was conducted to systematically search and synthesize evidence to understand the intended and unintended consequences of eHealth initiatives, informed by a health equity impact assessment framework. Falls and injurious falls affect one third of the older people. Those experiencing a fall might be unable to call for help remaining unattended for a long time. Pain, hypothermia and dehydration are common consequences. Additionally, ensuing fear of falling may reduce physical activity leading to functional decline and possibly institutionalization. Coping strategies are used to adapt to the changes that occur during aging. This study investigated 275 older adults who attended a senior citizen’s centre. They provided sociodemographic data and answered the Stress Coping Questionnaire (SCQ) in a semistructured interview. The aim was to analyse the use of coping strategies based in several sociodemographic variables, using correlations, t tests, and ANOVAs. The results showed a positive and significant association between age and religion, and differences were found in gender, marital status, educational attainment, and income level. Objetivo Determinar la relación entre la calidad del sueño y el equilibrio postural en las personas mayores que viven en la comunidad. Métodos Se aplicó un estudio analítico y transversal. Se reclutaron 53 sujetos que cumplían los criterios de selección. Se aplicó el índice de calidad del sueño de Pittsburgh (PSQI) y se realizó una prueba de equilibrio estático a través de una posturografía computarizada para evaluar el equilibrio postural. In Norway, municipal in-patient acute care (MipAC) has been introduced in all municipalities, and the competence at the services has been questioned.
