Economic crises have mixed effects on entrepreneurship. Through demand shocks, credit constraints, and unemployment, systemic banking crises affect the rate of start-up business creation, although the extent of their impact varies. Consequently, previous studies on the effect of crises on Entrepreneurship are inconclusive. The surge of global demand coupled with low credit availability reduces the prospects for new businesses. On the other hand, job losses caused by an economic crisis might lead many entrepreneurs to undertake new projects. This chapter analyzes the work trajectories of Romanian returnees who lived and worked for a long period of time in other EU countries. To understand the evolution of the work dimension of migrants’ lives, the chapter is built on subjective evaluations of their work experiences before migration, during their stay abroad, and upon return. The qualitative methodology and homogenous sample allow us to employ a gendered perspective on the relationship between international migration and individuals’ work trajectories. Cognition and affect: A factors combination in clients dissatisfied with restaurants

On the basis of an extensive literature review of the principal theories that explain consumer dissatisfaction, we try to analyse the effect of a set of cognitive and affective variables on dissatisfaction. Cognitive variables examined were performance, expectations, disconfirmation, causal attributions and inequity. Negative affects were considered as emotional variables. We developed an empirical research to examine customer dissatisfaction with restaurants. The results indicate that the best combination of variables to estimate dissatisfaction judgements is ‘performance–inequity–norms disconfirmation–attributions’. Does Affective Content of Sounds Affect Auditory Time-to-collision Estimation?

Depressed patients frequently report a subjective slowing of the passage of time. However, experimental demonstrations of altered time perception in depressed patients are not conclusive. We added a timed action task (time-to-contact estimation, TTC) and compared this indirect time perception task to the more direct classical methods of verbal time estimation, time production, and time reproduction. In the TTC estimation task, the deviations of the estimates from the veridical values (relative errors) revealed no differences between depressed patients (n = 22) and healthy controls (n = 22).
