Generalized wave propagation problems and discrete exterior calculus

We introduce a general class of second-order boundary value problems unifying application areas such as acoustics, electromagnetism, elastodynamics, quantum mechanics, and so on, into a single framework. This also enables us to solve wave propagation problems very efficiently with a single software system. The solution method precisely follows the conservation laws in finite-dimensional systems, whereas the constitutive relations are imposed approximately. Managing for Results in Primary Education: Results of a Randomized Trial in Madagascar

International audience; Using information from a randomized experiment carried out over the course of two school years in Madagascar, this paper evaluates the impact of specific actions designed to streamline and tighten the work processes of public primary school directors. The results show that interventions at the school level, reinforced by interventions at the district and subdistrict levels, succeeded overall in changing school heads' behavior toward better management. However, the average impact hides important heterogeneity. Catalogue of the Diptera (Insecta) of Morocco— an annotated checklist, with distributions and a bibliography

The faunistic knowledge of the Diptera of Morocco recorded from 1787 to 2021 is summarized and updated in this first catalogue of Moroccan Diptera species. A total of 3057 species, classified into 948 genera and 93 families (21 Nematocera and 72 Brachycera), are listed. Taxa (superfamily, family, genus and species) have been updated according to current interpretations, based on reviews in the literature, the expertise of authors and contributors, and recently conducted fieldwork. Computational aspects in checking of coherence and propagation of conditional probability bounds

In this paper we consider the problem of reducing the computational difficulties in g-coherence checking and propagation of imprecise conditional probability assessments. We review some theoretical results related with the linear structure of the random gain in the betting criterion. Then, we propose a modi ed version of two existing algorithms, used for g-coherence checking and propagation, which are based on linear systems with a reduced number of unknowns. The reduction in the number of unknowns is obtained by an iterative algorithm. Finally, to illustrate our procedure we give some applications.

El referéndum sobre la permanencia de España en la Alianza Atlántica (OTAN), convocado para el 12 de marzo de 1986 será uno de los conflictos más importantes de 1986, tanto a nivel político nacional, como dentro del PSOE. España ya pertenecía a la OTAN cuando se convocó el referéndum. El presidente de Gobierno, Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo, de UCD, en su discurso de investidura de 25 febrero de 1981 -dos días después del intento de golpe de Estado del 23F- había incluido la incorporación de España en la OTAN, adhiriéndose como miembro de la organización atlántica el 30 de mayo de 1982. Życie wewnętrzne w średniowiecznych klasztorach nie zawsze przebiegało w zgodzie z przyjętymi zasadami, które z założenia powinny być przecież rygorystycznie przestrzegane. Dotyczyło to zarówno braci, ojców, wyższych funkcyjnych klasztornych, a nawet samych opatów. Kronika klasztoru kanoników regularnych w Żaganiu dostarcza nam wielu przykładów łamania reguły zakonnej. Nadużywanie alkoholu, zbyt częste kontakty z kobietami czy nieposłuszeństwo wobec przełożonych – to tylko niektóre z problemów, z którymi borykali się żagańscy kanonicy.
