Muhammad – Prophet auch für Christen?

In this article a question is raised if it is possible for Christians to recognize Muhammad as an authentic prophet. From the point of view of religious studies Muhammad is obviously a prophet and Islam is a prophetic religion. Still, in the light of Christian theology that in Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, sees the fulfiment of the Old Testament prophecies, recognizing Muhammad as a prophet is highly problematic. Granting Muhammad the prophet status would mean the recognition of the Koran as the authentic Word of God. Meanwhile, the picture of Jesus in the Koran in many places opposes the one presented in the New Testament and the Church Tradition of the Church. It is all the more…

Objective To investigate long-term health-related quality of life (HRQoL) changes over time in younger compared to older disease-free breast cancer survivors who participated in a prospective randomized exercise trial. Methods Survivors (aged 35–68 years) were randomized to a 12-month exercise trial after adjuvant treatment and followed up for ten years. HRQoL was assessed with the generic 15D instrument during follow-up and the younger (baseline age ≤ 50) and older (age >50) survivors’ HRQoL was compared to that of the age-matched general female population (n = 892). Interactions among fungi and insects involve hundreds of thousands of species. While insect communities on plants have formed some of the classic model systems in ecology, fungus-based communities and the forces structuring them remain poorly studied by comparison. We characterize the arthropod communities associated with fruiting bodies of eight mycorrhizal basidiomycete fungus species from three different orders along a 1200-km latitudinal gradient in northern Europe. Background Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) contributes to lean mass loss and adiposity increases in prostate cancer patients. Radiotherapy during ADT might act synergistically and further worsen body composition. Previous investigations have shown that resistance training is an effective method of preserving body composition during ADT, however, most have not accounted for direct or indirect effects of other therapies, such as radiotherapy.
