Background: In patients with some cardiovascular disease conditions, slightly elevated body mass index (BMI) is associated with a lower mortality risk (termed “obesity paradox”). It is uncertain, however, if this obesity paradox exists in patients who have had invasive cardiology procedures. In recent years, a detailed archeoseismological investigation has been carried out in the necropolis of Abakainon in order to identify traces of an ancient earthquake. Although the identification of seismic damage was undoubtedly attributed to the 1st century AD earthquake, it was hypothesised that the level of damaging observed in the necropolis, as well as the counter slope tilting of the tomb basements may have also caused by a seismo-induced landslide, which produced locally an amplification of the seismic shaking. Online poker, like gambling in general, is predominantly a male activity. Thus, poker ads most often depict men as their protagonists. According to Jean Baudrillard, advertising can be seen as a ‘plebiscite whereby mass consumer society wages a perpetual campaign of self- endorsement.’ Ads often use stereotypical imagery for establishing a shared experience of identification with the consumer, and since their role is to sell rather than to portray the realities of life, they often have an exaggerated and monolithic – or, hyperreal – way of representing gender. Introduction. Overweight and perception of being overweight, may lead adolescent to lose weight. The aim of the present study was to investigate overweight adolescents’ self-perceived weight, body dissatisfaction, and weight control behaviour during 1994–2010 in Finland.Methods. The country-representative, cross-sectional data of 15-year olds were obtained from the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, conducted in 1994 (; males: 48%), 1998 (; 49%), 2002 (; 50%), 2006 (; 47%), and 2010 (; 48%).Results. Tutkielmassani tarkastelin saksanjuutalaisten näkemyksiä venäjänjuutalaisten tilanteesta vuosina 1905 ja 1906. Lähdeaineisto koostui kahdessa saksanjuutalaisessa sanomalehdessä vuosina 1905 ja 1906 julkaistuista pääkirjoituksista, viikkokatsauksista, mielipidekirjoituksista, artikkeleista ja uutisteksteistä. Toinen sanomalehdistä oli linjaltaan varsin neutraali Allgemeine Zeitung des Judentums, jota julkaistiin Berliinissä. Toinen sanomalehti oli linjaltaan sionistinen Frankfurter Israelitisches Familienblatt, jota julkaistiin Frankfurt am Mainissa. Maģistra darba pamatā ir autora novērota problēma, ka daudzi viedtālruņu lietotāji glabā dažādus sensitīvus datus savos telefonos, nedomājot, ka tas nav droši. Autors ir izpētījis, kā iOS sistēma nodrošina lietotāja datu drošību, aprakstījis ievainojamības, kuras var ietekmēt gan izstrā-dātājus, gan lietotājus, ir apskatījis veidus, kā lietotājs un lietotnes izstrādātājs var realizēt datu drošību. Darba autors ir veicis iOS lietotņu analīzi, kuras rezultātā tika atrastas vairākas, kas, pēc autora domām, neievēro lietotāja datu drošību tiešā vai netiešā veidā, kā arī veicis ielaušanās tes-tēšanu ar mērķi izpētīt lietotņu darbību no drošības aspekta.
