Introduction. In old age, the onset of disabilities (physical, cognitive) can lead older adults to have difficulty doing certain tasks of daily life, particularly those related to alimentation (shopping, meal preparation). To alleviate these difficulties, more and more elderly people are using home delivery meal services. The objective of this thesis is to question the place and role of such services in preventing undernutrition in the elderly population. Effect of water level and climatic factors on the radial growth of black alder Black alder (Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn.) is a widespread tree species in Europe and the western part of the temperate climate zone. The area of forest in Latvia dominated by this tree species has substantially decreased due to wide-spread forest drainage. To predict future changes due to environmental change, it is extremely important to understand the function of ecosystems with black alder and their dynamics. Bakalaura darba tēma - Malnutrīcijas riska noteikšana pacientiem pēc insulta internajā aprūpē. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka tas, ka pietiekams uzturs ir nepieciešams, lai vecinātu pacienta atveseļošanos pēc insulta. Malnutrīcija apgrūtina šādu pacientu ārstēšanu, samazinot pacientu imunitātes spēju pretoties infekcijām, palēninot brūču dzīšanu un palielinot komplikāciju risku, kas, savukārt, pagarina pacientu stacionēšanas laiku un palielina šo pacientu letalitāti. Analisi della naturalità del mosaico territoriale in Sicilia

A new index (NEI - Naturalness Evaluation Index) is applied in order to evaluate the landscape degree of conservation and naturalness. Land mosaic has been classified into four different levels of conservation, taking into account the relative influence of natural processes and anthropic activities. Fitocoenoses structure and floristic composition are used as indicators. As a case study Sicily (Italy) was chosen. The methodology has been applied to reclassify Corine Land Cover data and obtain a Naturalness map. Cilvēka dzīve aizvēsturē bija ļoti cieši saista ar dabu. Līdz ar pāreju uz ražotājsaimniecību vēlā akmens laikmeta beigās, bet īpaši sākot ar bronzas laikmetu, izveidojās ideoloģija, kurā centrālo vietu ieņēma Saule un ar to saistīto gadskārtu cikli. Solārā un lunārā simbolika plaši pārstāvēta Ziemeļeiropas, arī Latvijas arheoloģiskajā materiālā. Dabas un astronomiskās parādības minētas arī pirmajos rakstītajos avotos, bet to sekas – īpaši dabas katastrofu sekas, fiksējamas arī arheoloģiskajā materiālā.

Z dziejów muzyki w kościele pw. św. Mikołaja w Nowym Waliszowie na Ziemi Kłodzkiej

Początki kultury muzycznej Nowego Waliszowa związane są z tamtejszą świątynią pw. św. Mikołaja. Już w 1699 r. wyposażono ją w 7-głosowy pozytyw. Obecne organy zostały wybudowane w 1912 r. przez firmę Schlag & Söhne ze Świdnicy. Instrument typu multiplex o pneumatycznej trakturze rejestrów i gry posiada 15 głosów, w tym dziewięć realnych. Niewielka parafia dysponowała także zespołem wokalno-instrumentalnym, który nie tylko dbał o liturgię, ale także organizował koncerty. W 1930 r. liczył 31 chórzystów i 16 instrumentalistów. Zespół prowadzili miejscowi nauczyciele, którzy byli jednocześnie organistami. Cennych informacji o repertuarze chóru dostarcza inwentarz muzykaliów z 1939 r. obejmujący…
