Koulut ovat siirtyneet etäopetukseen lähikuukausien ajaksi sekä Suomessa että ympäri maailmaa. UNESCO:n seurannan mukaan perusasteen, toisen asteen ja korkea-asteen koulutus on 23.4. päivitetyn tiedon mukaan pysäytetty joko kokonaan tai osittain 191 maassa. COVID-19 virus vaikeuttaa yli 1,6 miljardin nuoren opiskelua. Jo ennen virusepidemiaa 260 miljoonaa lasta globaalisti oli ilman koulutusta. Kriisin odotetaan syventävän globaalia oppimiskriisiä. Kiinnostus Suomen digitaalisia koulutusratkaisuja kohtaan on globaali. Meneillään olevasta etäopetusperiodista pitää kerätä hyvät ja huonot kokemukset. Larval life history, transmission strategies, and the evolution of intermediate host exploitation by complex life-cycle parasites

Complex life-cycle parasites use their intermediate hosts both as an energy source and as a vessel for transmission to the next host in the life cycle. Parasites that grow rapidly to a large size may have high fitness (e.g. time spent in uninfective stages is limited), yet those that grow too aggressively may reduce host viability and their own probability of successful transmission. I examined aspects of both the growth and transmission strategy of an acanthocephalan (Acanthocephalus lucii) in its isopod intermediate host. Carsharing business models in Germany: characteristics, success and future prospects

Carsharing provides an alternative to private car ownership by allowing car use temporarily on an on-demand basis. Operators provide carsharing services using different business models and ownership structures. We distinguish between cooperative, business-to-consumer (B2C) roundtrip and one-way, as well as peer-topeer (P2P) carsharing. This paper characterizes these different types of business models and compares their success in terms of diffusion using a comprehensive database of all 101 German carsharing providers in 2016.
