El presente trabajo revisa las riadas de 1949, poco antes de que las obras de regulación alteraran el régimen de los ríos principales. Ese año se registraron al menos tres crecidas de diversa magnitud y tipología (invierno, primavera, otoño) en el litoral valenciano. En la primera parte del trabajo se documentan y describen las acontecidas en la llanura aluvial de los ríos Júcar y Turia, principalmente a partir de noticias de prensa. La expansión urbanística, junto con la generalización de los procesos de descentralización residencial y económica, ha conducido a un nuevo modelo de ciudad dispersa caracterizado por la dificultad de establecer sus límites precisos. Utilizando un índice de densidad de ejes viarios procedente de una fuente comercial, y por tanto fácilmente actualizable, se ha delimitado el fenómeno urbano en la Comunidad Valenciana. The paper investigates the relationship of Italian and German consumers with sustainable tourism through a quantitative online questionnaire. The study’s first aim is to understand the representation of sustainable tourism. It also analyzes if the issue of sustainability denotes an abstract or concrete value to consumers, the extent to which sustainability is considered an important factor in the process of purchasing and consumption of a tourism product, and then becomes a driver for consumers to choose from. The purpose of this study was to determine the variation of concentrations and distribution of PAHs in the sediments of the Gela coastal area (Italy) caused by the construction of an underwater pipeline connecting Libya to Sicilian coast. The receiving terminal of offshore pipeline, crossing the Mediterranean Sea, 516 Km long, up to 1127 meters deep, is located in Gela (Sicily, Italy). No bibliographic data regarding hydrocarbons are available for this area. Abstract Due to worker׳s exposure, solvent and stationary phases׳ consumption, sample purification is one of the most polluting steps in analytical procedures for determination of organic pollutants in real samples. The use of photochemical sample treatment represents a valid alternative methodology for extracts clean up allowing for a reduction of the used amount of organic solvents.
