Tässä tutkimuksessa tutkittiin millä tavoin freejazz ilmensi afrikanamerikkalaisten nationalistista identiteettiä Yhdysvalloissa 1960-luvulla. Tavoitteena oli selvittää erilaisia afrikanamerikkalaisen kulttuurin kautta rakennetun nationalistisen identiteetin presentaatiotapoja freejazzin kontekstissa. This paper describes the cultural semantics of internet courses in American accent. Such courses are offered by corporate providers to specific groups of customers: people in search of success in the globalized business environment. The core of such courses is an order of indexicality which stresses uniformity and homogeneity, producing an invisible accent that replaces existing ‘foreign’ (i.e. authentic, biographic) accents. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the trends between 2002 and 2018 in school pressure and school satisfaction among 15-year-old students, across countries and by gender, in the WHO European region and North America, and explore whether there are variations between countries and by gender in the co-occurrence of school pressure and school satisfaction. Methods: Data from the 32 countries that participated in the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children study (HBSC) study between 2002 and 2018 were used. Tässä tutkielmassa tutkitaan Yhdysvaltoihin sijoittavien rahastojen suoriutumista aika- välillä 01/2005-01/2016. Aineisto koostuu rahastoista, joita joko hallinnoidaan Yhdys- valloissa tai Pohjoismaissa, ja joiden sijoitukset kohdistuvat Yhdysvaltoihin. Aineisto koostuu 10:n pohjoismaalaisen rahaston ja 16:n amerikkalaisen rahaston kuukausi- tuotoista ja rahastot ovat kasvurahastoja. Tässä työssä asetetaan vastakkain amerikkalaisten salkunhoitajien ja pohjoismaalaisten salkunhoitajien osaaminen. This Master’s thesis of general history focuses on the social interaction between ethnic Finns and Native Americans in North America c. 1850—1950. The research aims to cover the nature of the interaction phenomenon in question as well as the social statuses of both groups and the attitudes expressed by them concerning the other. The analysis is based on biographical source material supported by documents, interviews and academic literature emphasizing both the Finns and the Native Americans who were in contact with each other during the aforementioned era.
