Study of the decay D+→K*(892)+KS0 in D+→K+KS0π0
2021
Based on an $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector at $\sqrt{s}=3.773 \mathrm{GeV}$, the first amplitude analysis of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^{+}\to K^+ K_S^0 \pi^0$ is performed. From the amplitude analysis, the $K^*(892)^+ K_S^0$ component is found to be dominant with a fraction of $(57.1\pm2.6\pm4.2)\%$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. In combination with the absolute branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to K^+ K_S^0 \pi^0)$ measured by BESIII, we obtain $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to K^*(892)^+ K_S^0)=(8.69\pm0.40\pm0.64\pm0.51)\times10^{-3}$, where…
Bound on the Ratio of Decay Amplitudes forB¯0→J/ψK*0andB0→J/ψK*0
2004
We have measured the time-dependent decay rate for the process B→J/ψK*0(892) in a sample of about 88×106 Υ(4S)→BB decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC. In this sample we study flavor-tagged events in which one neutral B meson is reconstructed in the J/ψK*0 or J/ψK *0 final state. We measure the coefficients of the cosine and sine terms in the time-dependent asymmetries for J/ψK*0 and J/ψK *0, find them to be consistent with the standard model expectations, and set upper limits at 90% confidence level (C.L.) on the decay amplitude ratios |A(B 0→J/ψK*0)|/|A(B0→J/ψK*0)|<0.26 and |A(B0→J/ψK *0)|/|A(B 0→J/ψK *0)|<0.32. For a single ratio of w…

Amplitude analysis of the χc1→ηπ+π− decays
2017
Using 448.0 x 10(6) psi(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, an amplitude analysis is performed for psi(3686) -> gamma chi(c1), chi(c1) ->eta pi(+)pi(-) decays. The most dominant two- body structure observed is a(0)(980)(+/-) pi(-/+); a(0)(980)(+/-) -> eta pi(+/-.) line shape is modeled using a dispersion relation, and a significant nonzero a(0) (980) coupling to the eta'pi channel is measured. We observe chi(c1) -> a(2)(1700)pi production for the first time, with a significance larger than 17 sigma. The production of mesons with exotic quantum numbers, J(PC) = 1(-+), is investigated, and upper limits for the branching fractions chi(c1) -> pi(1)(1400)(+/-)pi(-/+) , chi(c1) -> pi…
Double beta-decay and su(4) symmetry
1990
The amplitude for ββ decay with 2ν emission is shown to be related to (p,n) and (n,p) reactions on the initial and final states, respectively. The suppression of both ββ and (n,p) reaction is connected, and its origin is discussed by referring to theSU(4) symmetry. From present data on the first ones, we estimate the forward (n, p) strength of relevance for the ββ problem. The interest of the experimental determination of this strength is emphasized. Assuming a perturbative breaking of theSU(4) symmetry, results are given for76Ge,82Se,128Te and130Te.
CPAsymmetries inB0Decays in the Left-Right Model
1998
We study time dependent CP asymmetries in B^0_{d,s} decays in the left-right model with spontaneous breakdown of CP. Due to the new contributions to B^0-\bar B^0 mixing the CP asymmetries can be substantially modified. Moreover, there can be significant new contributions to the $B$-meson decay amplitudes from the magnetic penguins. Most promising for detection of the new physics in the planned $B$ factories is that the CP asymmetries in the decays B--> J/\psi K_S and B--> \phi K_S which are supposed to be equal in the standard model can differ significantly in this class of models independently of the results in the measurements of B--> X_s \gamma.

P̅P annihilation at rest: annihilation dynamics and meson spectroscopy
1990
Proton-antiproton annihilations provide an excellent tool to study the dynamics of quarks and gluons in the confinement region. Annihilations at rest into two mesons show selection rules which can be related to symmetries between SU(3) invariant amplitudes. In the annihilation process not only conventional (q\(\bar{\text{q}}\)) mesons are produced but also states which do not fit into the meson nonets. It is shown how knowledge of the atomic state of the pp system at annihilation can be used to restrict the possible quantum numbers of meson resonances.
An interpolation of the vacuum polarization function for the evaluation of hadronic contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment
2001
We propose a simple parameterization of the two-point correlator of hadronic electromagnetic currents for the evaluation of the hadronic contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. The parameterization is explicitly done in the Euclidean domain. The model function contains a phenomenological parameter which provides an infrared cutoff to guarantee the smooth behavior of the correlator at the origin in accordance with experimental data in e+ e- annihilation. After fixing a numerical value for this parameter from the leading order hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment the next-to-leading order results related to the vacuum polarization function are accurately re…
Model-Independent Determination of the Spin of the Ω− and Its Polarization Alignment in ψ(3686)→Ω−Ω¯+
2021
We present an analysis of the process $\psi(3686) \to \Omega^- \bar{\Omega}^+$ ($\Omega^-\to K^-\Lambda$, $\bar{\Omega}^+\to K^+\bar{\Lambda}$, $\Lambda\to p\pi^-$, $\bar{\Lambda}\to \bar{p}\pi^+$) based on a data set of $448\times 10^6$ $\psi(3686)$ decays collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII electron-positron collider. The helicity amplitudes for the process $\psi(3686) \to \Omega^- \bar{\Omega}^+$ and the decay parameters of the subsequent decay $\Omega^-\to K^-\Lambda$ $(\bar{\Omega}^+\to K^+\bar{\Lambda})$ are measured for the first time by a fit to the angular distribution of the complete decay chain. The branching fraction of $\psi(3686) \to \Omega^- \bar{\Omega}^+$ is me…
