International audience; ATLAS event processing requires access to centralized database systems where information about calibrations, detector status and data-taking conditions are stored. This processing is done on more than 150 computing sites on a world-wide computing grid which are able to access the database using the Squid-Frontier system. Abstract The purpose of the study was to examine the impact of feedback on self-efficacy, performance, and task choice, and the mediating effects of self-efficacy in the feedback-performance and task choice relationships. Participants were 69 Spanish students, 46 males and 23 females, between 18 and 24 years. The experimental paradigm consisted of three sessions. In the first, participants performed on the hurdles. Bot or not? a case study on bot recognition from web session logs

This work reports on a study of web usage logs to verify whether it is possible to achieve good recognition rates in the task of distinguishing between human users and automated bots using computational intelligence techniques. Two problem statements are given, offline (for completed sessions) and on-line (for sequences of individual HTTP requests). The former is solved with several standard computational intelligence tools. For the second, a learning version of Wald’s sequential probability ratio test is used.

GraphoGame Teacher Training Service is a mobile-based solution for providing teachers with scientifically validated pedagogical training in literacy instruction. In many African countries teachers currently have insufficient knowledge to teach literacy in local languages and learning materials are scarce, especially for children with learning difficulties. Semantic interoperability based on ontologies is nowadays becoming a great challenge. We propose an architecture for semantic-based cooperation called OWSCIS (Ontology and Web Service based Cooperation of Information Sources). It allows to map various information sources using ontologies and to answer users' queries over the cooperation. In this paper we focus on the similarity estimation service of the OWSCIS Architecture which allows to discover mappings between different ontologies. It relies on various mappings methods which are combined and refined to semi-automatically generate mappings between a local and a reference ontologies.
