Resum: El desembre de 1911 aparegué a la premsa local de Vic un article que va aixecar molta polseguera entre els bibliòfils de tot Catalunya. Un mossèn –historiador de l’art i gran moralista- acusava un conegut editor de llibres de bibliofília –sense dir-ne el nom-, d’editar llibres luxosos de contingut priàpic (pornogràfic). Aquest fet anecdòtic ens serveix per saber qui era l’editor esmentat, què hi havia de cert en l’»acusació» i com va encaixar el vituperat veure’s exposat a la vergonya pública. Cet article s’appuie sur des biographies de poètes romantiques anglais pour analyser la manière dont les biographes utilisent l’anecdote, soit pour donner de l’épaisseur au poète biographé, soit pour le transformer en modèle. L’anecdote, une fois racontée par un proche, est transmise de biographie en biographie, et l’analyse montre son évolution au fil des siècles, dans un statut toujours intermédiaire entre le biographique et le légendaire.
Gender and the gynecological examination: women's identities in doctors' narratives.

The authors explore the constructions of gender in male doctors' narratives of gynecological examinations. Focusing on the ways in which gender identities are constructed in the stories of the medical encounter, they argue, first, that gender is more flexible during the visit with a gynecologist than has been suggested. Gendered identities are assumed and put aside as the interaction progresses, with its final stage—the pelvic examination—being constructed with gender removed. Second, they argue that undressing is invested with a special status during the examination.
