Texts on labels are important because they form the main component of a museum’s communication model. The aim of this paper is to present and analyze how museums use texts to stimulate active involvement of their visitors. Their conclusions, based on analyses of museum texts in historical and art exhibitions, are as follows: museums use catchy titles to draw visitors’ attention; museums use active voice and emotive words to build more personal comment; museums use quotations to build connection between people and objects or history; museums place objects in cultural context. This article is about language used in menus. The recently changing approach to cooking and eating is also reflected in language that describes food. Restaurant menus are a clear example of this. It is because eating, i. e. experiencing the taste of dishes, does not only take using our tongue, but it also involves using language. Some restaurant owners are aware of the relationship between taste and word, which is reflected in the way some dishes are described in menu cards offered to customers. The purpose of the article is to analyse menus of selected restaurants and to show some linguistic tricks used by restaurant owners to encourage customers to eat in their restaurants.

X-ray phase-contrast tomography datasets of formalin fixed paraffin embedded unstained cardiac tissue from Covid-19 patients as well as from control tissue. For each group one overview scan of the entire biopsy (3.5mm cross section) from binning and stitching different tomograms (PB bin2, voxel size: 1.3µm) as well as the respective laboratory data (LJ, voxel size: 2µm, tissue masked) and a cone-beam zoom tomogram recorded with waveguide illumination (WG, voxel size: 159 nm) is uploaded. Radiation-sensitive gels are among the most recent and promising developments for radiation therapy (RT) dosimetry. RT dosimetry has the twofold goal of ensuring the quality of the treatment and the radiation protection of the patient. Benchmark dosimetry for acceptance testing and commissioning of RT systems is still based on ionization chambers. However, even the smallest chambers cannot resolve the steep dose gradients of up to 30–50% per mm generated with the most advanced techniques. This paper reports the results of an analysis of process wastewater streams in the context of an increase in yeast production. This research is based on the analysis of data from the biggest yeast factory in Europe. The research presented in this paper involves the analysis of the influence of direction of additional wastewater into the evaporator station on yeast production. In the process wastewater, nitrogen is mainly present in organic forms. Tiny Citizenship, Twisted Politics, and Christian Love in a Ugandan Church Choir

In 1977, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Janani Luwum, was killed under orders from President Idi Amin following his public criticism of Amin’s reign of terror. This article offers an ethnographic case study of a choir named in Luwum’s honour to extend existing research on the interrelations of Christianity, citizenship, and politics in contemporary Uganda. To do so, I draw a number of conceptual tools – tiny citizenship, authentic citizenship, twisted politics, and love – from work by and referencing Hannah Arendt, James Baldwin, and Gary Alan Fine.
