Esports phenomena have grown rapidly in recent years, and so has research on the topic. Some of the research has also addressed esports fandom (see e.g. Taylor 2012). Nevertheless, studies comparing and contrasting how players and fans engage with the game and the esports based on that game are scarce. This study compares and contrasts how players and fans engage with playable game characters and esports players. Mediating Effects of Global Negative Effect Expectancies on the Association between Problematic Cannabis Use and Social Anxiety

The relationship between social anxiety and cannabis use among adolescents and young adults is a highly debated topic. In this cross-sectional study, we tested whether cannabis use expectancies mediated the association between social anxiety and cannabis use severity in a sample of 343 young adults (74.3% male) who used cannabis. They completed self-report measures for the screening of problematic cannabis use (Cannabis Use Problems Identification Test) and social anxiety symptoms (Social Interaction Anxiety Scale and Social Phobia Scale). Iedzīvotāju migrācija Latvijas un pasaules mērogā ir kļuvusi daudz aktuālāka, pateicoties virknei faktoru, piemēram, brīvai darbaspēka kustībai. Šajā bakalaura darbā “Talsu iedzīvotāji un to ģeogrāfiskā mobilitāte” tiek pētīti Talsu iedzīvotāji un noskaidrotas to ģeogrāfiskās mobilitātes galvenās iezīmes, kas parādās tiem iesaistoties iekšzemes migrācijā, svārstmigrācijā un starpvalstu migrācijā. Iezīmju noskaidrošana ļauj apzināt perspektīvāko pētījumu virzienu migrācijas jautājumā Talsos, jo līdz šim par migrāciju Talsos ir maz veiktu pētījumu.
