Inter- and intraspecific hypervariability in interstitial telomeric-like repeats (TTTAGGG)n in Anacyclus (Asteraceae).
2017
BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Interstitial telomeric repeat (ITR) sites, consisting of tandem repeats of telomeric motifs localized at intrachromosomal sites, have been reported in a few unrelated organisms including plants. However, the causes for the occurrence of ITRs outside of the chromosomal termini are not fully understood. One possible explanation are the chromosomal rearrangements involving telomeric sites, which could also affect the location of other structural genome elements, such as the 45S rDNA. Taking advantage of the high dynamism in 45S rDNA loci previously found in Anacyclus (Asteraceae, Anthemideae), the occurrence and patterns of variation of ITRs were explored in this genus wit…
Germacranolides and a monoterpene cyclic peroxide from Artemisia fragrans
1998
Abstract The aerial parts of Artemisia fragrans collected in Armenia yielded a new cyclic monoterpene peroxide with the irregular santolinyl framework, together with several known germacranolides. Comparison with previously published chemical results suggests these may actually have been performed on a different, although closely related species.
Sesquiterpene lactones from Artemisia herba-alba
1990
Abstract The aerial parts of Artemisia herba-alba subsp. valentine yielded, in addition to known compounds, a new germacranolide, six new eudesmanolides and ilicic acid methyl ester.
Composition of the essential oil from flowerheads of Chrysanthemum coronarium L. (Asteraceae) wild growing in Southern Italy
2004
The essential oils from the aerial parts of Chrysanthemum coronarium L. (Asteraceae) growing wild in two different localities of Southern Italy, Lascari (L) and Palinuro (P), were obtained by hydrodistillation in a 0.13–0.16% yield. The oils were analysed by GC and GC–MS; 68 constituents, amounting to 89.0% of the oil (L), and 43 constituents, amounting to 91.6% of the oil (P), were identified. The trans‐spiroketal–enol ether 2‐(2,4‐hexadiynylidene)‐1,6‐dioxaspiro[4,4]non‐3‐ene (trans‐tonghaosu) with chrysanthenyl and lyratyl esters and camphor were the main components of the oils.
Germacrane derivatives from Santolina chamaecyparissus
1991
Abstract The aerial parts of Santolina chamaecyparissus subsp. squarrosa yieleded five new germacrane derivatives and a known eudesmane dialcohol.

Composition and Antimicrobial Activity of Essential Oil ofAnthemis tenuisectaBall
2007
Abstract The Chemical composition of the essential oil of Anthemis tenuisecta Ball. (Anthemideae) was analyzed by gas Chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Forty eight components accounting for 89.5 % of the oil were identified, being camphor (17.5 %), 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one (17.1 %), borneol (11.5 %), sesquicineole (11%) and camphene (5.7 %) the main compounds. In the antibacterial diffusion assay, the oil showed activity against Gram-positive bacteria.
Sesquiterpene lactones and acetylenes from Artemisia reptans
1994
Abstract The aerial parts of Artemisia reptans yielded a new thiophene acetylene, four new guaianolides, a new acyclic sesquiterpene related to davanone and several known compounds.
Sesquiterpene lactones fromArtemisia barrelieri
1991
Abstract Extraction of aerial parts of Artemisia barrelieri and chromatographic separation yielded a new germacranolide, two new monocyclic sesquiterpenes and a novel germacranolide dimer, together with several known compounds.
Oxygenated germacranes from Santolina chamaecyparissus
1993
The polar fraction of an extract of Santolina chamaecyparissus ssp. squarrosa yielded six new germacrane derivatives and a novel seco-germacrane lactone. The structures have been derived from spectral data, X-ray diffraction and chemical correlations.
